London and North Eastern Railway oak cased Bracket Clock. The original 5 inch dial is lettered LNER 12258 and French circular pendulum movement is in cleaned condition. The oak case in original condition measures 9.5in wide x 14in tall x 6in deep. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. The LNER clock records show this clock as last being located at King's Cross Mr Harrison Chief Civil Engineers Office.
A George III Mahogany Striking Balloon Shaped Table Clock, circa 1800, balloon shaped case with brass carrying handle, bracket feet, 7-1/2-inch convex painted dial with Roman numerals and indistinctly signed, twin fusee movement with an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, movement backplate engraved throughout with scroll, floral and a central urn decoration, 41.5cm high over handle see illustration 05.06.19. Case surfaces are rubbed in parts, case with small dents and scratches in parts, brass surfaces are discoloured, back door with fret missing, back door is slightly bowed and not closing correctly, back door with small cracks, dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track faded, painted surfaces are crazed and with chips, indistinctly signed, movement is dirty, movement in going order.
~ A George III Mahogany Quarter Striking Table Clock, signed J Hawthorn, Newcastle, circa 1770, inverted bell top with carrying handle, acorn finials, side viewing windows, bracket feet, 8-inch arched brass dial, engraved scroll decorated dial centre with a date aperture and signed, arch with strike/silent selection, twin fusee movement with a verge escapement, quarter striking on two bells and striking the hours on a further bell, movement backplate with scroll decoration and signed Jno Hawthornthwaite, Newcastle, 54cm high over handle see illustration 04.06.19. Case slightly faded in parts, top side of the pediment with mouldings slightly lifting, veneers with cracks in parts, front door with a later escutcheon and later lock plate, back silks are missing to the door frets, back door with one wooden fret broken and missing, the other fret has been replaced, possibly later finials and feet, dial with small scratches and slightly dirty, later wooden movement seatboard, movement backplate with small scratches and is slightly dirty.

A George V Silver Inkstand, Thomas Bradbury & Sons, Sheffield 1926, rounded rectangular with gadroon border, reeded foliate twin handles and on foliate bracket feet, two detachable cut glass wells, a pen depression to each side, 29.5cm wide over handles, 19.5ozt. Clear marks to underside, mounts to inkwells, receivers and nuts to underside all part marked. One or two very minor scratches and flea bites to glass. Generally in good condition.
A William IV Silver Teapot, Charles Fox, London 1830, squat circular melon fluted form with foliate embellishments, the hinged cover with melon finial, on shell bracket feet, 31cm long, 25.8ozt . Clear marks to underside, the handle, cover, finial and wing nut all part marked. Pin to upper junction of handle lacking and repair of both handle junctions. Ivory insulators. Some small sideways play in the cover and some light bruising to body. There is an uneven area on one side, perhaps the result of an erasure.
A George IV Scottish Silver Salver, Adam Elder, Edinburgh 1827, also marked CM possibly for Charles Murray, Perth, circular with a flowerhead, scroll and shell border, the centre engraved with crest and motto Stand Fast for Grant, within flat chased decoration, on three foliate bracket feet, 23.5cm diameter, 17.4ozt. Fully marked underneath. The marks are clear. There is some overall minor surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a very minor softening to the high points of the border. There are some minor pin dents.
A George IV Silver Teapot, Michael Starkey, London 1821, of circular part fluted form, with elaborate foliate, scroll and shell border, reeded handle and on foliate lion paw bracket feet, engraved with a crest of a demi-lion rampant holding a sword out of a tower and the motto scroll Neque Lux Sine Umber, 26.5cm long, 24.3ozt. Clear marks to underside of base. Cover part marked including makers mark, wing nut and handle part marked. Ivory insulators. Small repair to right hand side of spout. Occasional small knock at widest point. Stands straight.
WILLIAM HUGHES, 119 HIGH HOLBORN . A mid 18th Century triple fusee movement ebonised bracket clock, the double inverted bell top ebonised case with four cone finials and carry handle. Break arch style door, embellished corner decorations with brass lined mouldings to front and glazed side panels.Arched dial plate with gilded acanthus spandrels, Chime silent subsidiary dial,silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic minute track. False pendulum and chamfered date aperture with matted brass centre and silvered name plate. The triple fusee movement, Chain driven with anchor escapement,four cannon pillars. Quarter striking Whittington tune on a nest of 8 silvered bells,hourly strike on a large single bell. Heavily engraved rear plate throughout,centred William Hughes, Holborn, with matching engraved pendulum bob. 43cm x 24cm x 18cm.
