dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Ottoman Empire, 15.5 mm cal barrel with two round stages; the first segment engraved with floral motifs, spurious signature, an Arab and a Western mark. Modern-style lock with working mechanism, plate with spurious signature. Wooden full stock, richly carved with floral motifs and remains of spiral inlays. White metal mounts. Typical barrel bracket with relieved decorations and fake ramrod. length 49,5 cm.
dating: 1879 provenance: USA, Rifled, round, 44-40 cal. (or 43 Spanish) barrel, (clean and with barely visible rifling), with Winchester address, King's Improvement and patents, with adjustable rear sight and foresight, small areas of rust damage. Smooth frame with pitting and rust damage, tang with pattern, serial number '337xx'. The top loading gate with small oval checkering. Wooden butt and fore-end, iron ramrod on the left side, only one barrel bracket. Complete with its socket bayonet with leather sheath (missing chape). Extremely rare. This very rare example was assembled on 19 April 1879 as a possible military weapon for the Spanish government. Only a very few examples are known, for example one in the Rock Island Arsenal Museum, only four more of the Musket type are known. Two have been sold lately with serial numbers 33777 and 33903, both very similar to ours.Literature: 'Winchester's New Model of 1873: A tribute, Volume II' by James Gordon, page 511. Gordon writes that only 84 examples of this model were manufactured and that only five are known. length 124 cm.
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy, Rifled, round, 17,9 mm cal. barrel at the nozzle, with octagonal base, signed 'E. MONDELLI IN COMO 71', bearing the Savoy shield and 'GL' marks, with foldaway and adjustable rear sight, foresight and clutch for the bayonet. Clean bore, visible rifling. Forward spring lock marked 'Suhl / VCS' under crown. Working mechanism with two snaps. Full wooden stock with a few restored woodworm holes. Iron mounts with some pitting. Barrel bracket with remains of marks. Iron ramrod. The barrel is plugged only with non-ferrous metal, so certainly easy to restore, in the clear part the rifling is still clearly visible. Interesting. length 126,5 cm.

Good English walnut single fusee bracket clock, the 6" brass chapter ring enclosing an engine turned centre and signed Viner, Regent Str either side of twelve o'clock, the five pillar movement with long shoulders to the shaped plates and with locking pendulum, within a well made later stepped case inlaid with burr walnut and chevron banded spandrels, surmounted by a caddy top and brass carrying handle, 15.25" high (pendulum and keys)** This clock bears a rectangular plaque fitted to the inside of the back door inscribed Repaired by Camerer Cuss & Co, 54 & 56 New Oxford St., London est. 1788. It is probable that these makers were responsible for making the case in the early part of the 20th century
