The dial having a silvered chapter ring encircling a matted centre with calendar aperture, and adorned with pierced gilt brass spandrels to the corners and a strike/silent dial in the arch with plate signed Christopher Pinchbeck, London. The caddy top case having a gilt handle above the arched glazed door with pierced fretwork sound-holes backed in red silk. Standing 17 ins (43 cms) high on squat moulded square feet. 10 ins (25 cms) wide, 6 ins (15 cms) deep.

The deeply moulded edge above large shaped bracket feet with buttressed ends topped with carved face masks. 28 ins (71 cms) in height, 62 ins (158 cms) wide, 20½ ins (52 cms) in depth.
