A George III mahogany bracket clock, Eardley Norton, London, circa 1800, the five pillar twin fusee bell striking movement with original anchor escapement and border engraved backplate numbered 3 557 to upper right hand corner, the 8 inch brass break-arch dial signed EARDLEY NORTON, LONDON, 3557 and with additional gilt sweep calendar hand to centre within applied Roman numeral chapter ring annotated with date of the month to inner track and with Arabic five minutes to outer track, the angles with scroll cast spandrels beneath STRIKE/SILENT selection dial flanked by conforming mounts to arch, the single-pad top break-arch case with gilt brass carrying handle above ebony fillet bordered door to front and geometrice pierced rectangular sound frets to sides, on moulded skirt base with brass ball feet, 44.5cm (17.5in) high excluding handle
A George III mahogany chest on chest, the plain cornice over an arrangement of eight graduated drawers and a bushing slide, canted corners, on bracket feet Size: approx. 109cm w x 179cm h x 56cm d Good overall condition, no major issues. Mildew spots over the drawers, split to one drawer base, one front foot with two `plug` repairs (see attached image), replacement handles, minor damage and loss of veneer, minor damage to corner of moulding, small split to edge of base (at the back).
