The arched dial signed, with ornate spandrels, circular brass chapter ring with Turkish dagger numerals, two hands, verge escapement striking on bell with pendulum and brass covered weight. Good quality George III mahogany chest of drawers, the top with carved blind fret border and frieze, brushing slide, two short and two long drawers with cast ormolu handles, flanked by fluted pilasters, on ogee bracket feet, possibly adapted from a chest on chest, 104cm wide x 54cm deep x 89cm highSplits to veneers to top, splits to sides, small loss to blind fret, small moulding lost to rear left side, otherwise just minor damage and wear, brass fittings appear to be original and are very fine.

Hair, Gt Russell St. Borough - a Regency brass strung mahogany eight day bracket clock, with painted Roman dial and brass ring handles, unsigned twin fusee movement with anchor escapement, 30cm wide, 17cm deep, 43cm high. Condition - fair Overall of a good rich polished mahogany reddish brown tone, one old split running front to back at the top of the case, other small cracks and splits elsewhere notably either side of the dial near 4 and 8 o'clock, no case key but both locks present and doors not locked shut, back door with signs of old repairs and splits, comes with adjustable pendulum but no winding key; movement has been wound but winding arbour not engaging with clockworks, attention needed; striking train fully-wound and appears to be working, without guarantee. Service history unknown.
