Unusual Indian Stiletto Early 20th Century, shallow diamond section nickel plated blade with square-shaped opening at the forte, ebony hilt, plated crosspiece, stamped metal ornaments to grip, bracket device around pommel with threaded finial, in its leather-covered wooden sheath. Blade 20cms, overall 36cms. Good condition.
Fine Quality Rare Indian Silver Gauntlet Hilt Sword Pata Made for a Youth, Probably Late 19th Century, straight double edge blade, solid silver hilt with pierced silver reinforcing strip along the edge, pointed reinforced cuff, front plate of guard above langets engraved with 3 short Indian inscriptions each in a different hand (and script? – not translated), fitted with a silver grip and a silver arm bracket, quilted padded lining. Good condition. Overall 85cms.
Massive Indian Matchlock Rampart Gun Torador, Probably 17th or 18th Century, 2.7cms bore diameter, slightly swollen muzzle, breech struck with an assortment of armoury inscriptions (not translated) integral pan, open rearsight, iron swivel bracket of rowlock type, wooden stock with iron sides; together with a contemporary Indian 2 wheeled mounting to facilitate moving the gun. Good condition with some age wear. Overall length 133cms.
Rare Composite South German Close Helmet c.1540, fluted skull etched with bands of foliage against a granulated ground within the flutes and across opening to the face formed with a roped edge, roped comb pierced presumably for a (missing) bracket to secure the helmet as a funerary achievement, decorative brass studs to rear and border of skull, hinged bevor and visor etched en-suite with the skull and pierced with rows of vertical slots each surrounded by an etched flower head, open sights, the helmet secured by hooks (mostly replaced). Good condition

One of three clockmaking brothers recorded as working in the late 18th century, the others being Ralph and Robert. They also had businesses in Bourne, Peterborough and Spalding (Wh. 1842). They are recorded in the LR&SM as working in 1795.

White's Directory of Lincolnshire 1842 record a Joseph Wilson working All Saints Street, Stamford. The clock will pre-date this slightly.
