A fine quality Louis XV style satinwood, walnut, burr walnut, kingwood and marquetry glazed breakfront library bookcase, of substantial proportions, made to a bespoke design by Whittinghams of Jersey, the serpentine arched central bookcase section with three doors with bevelled glazing and reeded brass edging, the interior in pale green watered silk with adjustable shelves, over a kingwood cross banded base with five doors, each with a burr walnut and floral marquetry panel, enclosing single shelves, on ogee bracket feet, 123¾ x 26in. (314 x 66cm.), 104½in. (265.5cm.) high.
A Chinese black lacquered and painted drinks cabinet, third quarter 20th century, painted to the front, top and sides with exotic birds amidst blossoming branches of prunus and peony, the front panel swivelling to reveal a fitted demi-lune drinks cabinet behind, both sides hinges and opening to reveal shelves and glass slots, on a plinth base with short bracket feet, 47½ x 18in. (121 x 45.5cm.) 42in. (106.5cm.) high.
A Chinese black lacquered and painted George II style bureau cabinet, third quarter 20th century, the broken arched top with three turned gilt finials, over a pair of broken arched doors enclosing a well fitted interior with an arrangement of eighteen pigeonholes and twenty-two drawers, around a central glazed cupboard door, all with foliate drop handles, over a fall front with a further arrangement of three pigeonholes and eighteen waterfall drawers, above four short and two long graduated drawers to the base, on ogee bracket feet, painted throughout with flowering plants and birds, 39 x 18¾in. (99 x 47.5cm.), 85in. (216cm.) high.
A Georgian style cross banded burr walnut serpentine tallboy chest, 1930s, the moulded cornice over an upper section with four long graduated drawers, the base with a slide and three long graduated drawers, with pierced brasses, on ogee bracket feet, 24¾ x 16¼in. (62.8 x 41.25cm.), 60½in. (153.75cm.) high.
A George I and later six drawer tall walnut chest, the cross banded cavetto moulded top over two short and four long graduated drawers with boxwood and ebony stringing and later engraved cartouche brasses and escutcheons, raised on bracket feet, stained pine sides, 37¼ x 20½in. (94.5 x 52cm.), 52½in. (133.5cm.) high, alterations.
A 17th century and later oak six plank long coffer, the single plank top with later strap hinges and carved border, over a front with original iron lock plate and later carved initials and 1684 date, over a carved lower border, on bracket feet, 47 x 15¼in. (119.5 x 38.75cm.), 22¼in. (56.5cm.) high.
A George II walnut secretaire chest on chest, the ogee moulded cornice over three short and three long graduated drawers, flanked by fluted canted corners, the base with three long graduated drawers, all with feather and cross banding and later shaped brasses, the upper base drawer fitted as a secretaire with an arrangement of eight drawers and six pigeonholes, flanking a central cupboard, all with original iron locks, on ogee bracket feet, 42 ¼ x 22 ¾in. (107.5 x 57.75cm.), 75 ½in. (191.5cm.) high.
A George IV mahogany and brass strung bracket clock with pull repeat, signed J.R. Saunders, Warminster, the convex white enamel dial with painted Roman numerals and Brequet style hands, an eight day twin fusee movement striking on a bell, the case with brass pineapple finial on a stepped top, with a chipped band to the top and bottom and strung brass detailing throughout, brass ring handles to the side above brass fish scale panels, raised on ball feet. 18 ½in. (46.9cm.) high.
A 19th century Chinese lacquered jardiniere stand, of large proportions, lobed form, with a pierced frieze and shaped apron, raised on six cabriole style legs with scrolled toes, to a shaped undertier, on short bracket feet, painted all over with lake landscapes, flowers and mons, 29 x 21 ¼in. (73.5 x 54cm.), 36 ¼in. (92cm.) high.
Jules Moigniez (French, 1835-1894), a 19th century silvered and parcel gilt bronze jewellery casket, signed 'J. Moigniez', in the baroque style with twin handles, decorated with a bird and her two chicks, raised on six floral bracket feet, velvet lined interior, 5 ¾in. (14.6cm.) high, tarnished. * Provenance: The Sladmore Gallery, London, 1968. A similar casket was exhibited by Moigniez at the Great Exhibition in London, 1862. ** Condition: Silvered finish tarnished, a little gilt wear. Otherwise in good condition.
A George III silver toast rack, John Lambe, London, 1786, of oval form, nine plain wire-work bars, double central ring handle, raised on four bracket feet, 7 1/8in. (18cm.) long, weight 4.4 tr.oz. * Central carrying bar has been re-atached to one side and loose the other, needing repair, otherwise good.
A large and handsome George IV silver salver, Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I, London, 1820, of circular form with floral and foliate brilliantly cast rim, to four paw feet with feathered scroll and flower head bracket mounts, engraved family crest to centre, 16 7/8in. A 14 karat gold bag bracket in a crescent-shaped model with openwork sawn open in leaf and curl motif. Set on the front with three old cut diamonds, approx. 0.57 ct in total. Color approx. J/K, purity approx. SI1/SI2. And two sapphires, approx. 0.30ct in total. Closing with a snap lock, on the snap lock set with a cabochon cut sapphire (one is missing). The bag bracket is mounted with a gold anchor chain. Gross weight: 202.2 g. Weight: 26.2 g. ca. 15 x 13 cm. en ca. 5 x 6 cm.
