A Victorian Gothic oak chiming bracket clock circa 1850, of large proportions, by John Moore of Clerkenwell, the top pediment with turned acorn finial, carved lion mask and four further turned finials, the arched dial with engraved gilt decoration, silvered dial with Roman numerals, strike/silent mechanism, slow/fast dial, Eight Bells and Cambridge chimes, fusee movement, the base with carved flower-heads and engraved brass pate inscribed "This clock was made in about 1851 by John Moore of Clerkenwell fore someone unknown. Purchased by Mr Channing of Puttenham Nr. Guilford in 1969", the side panels missing, 30in (76.5cm) high, 16in (41cm) wide.
An oak cased longcase clock 1930s, the hood with an arched and moulded pediment over an arched glazed door flanked by barleytwist columns, enclosing an eight day movement and silvered Roman Numeral dial with `Tempus Fugit` cartouche, gilt metal crown and putti spandrels and pierced blued hands, the trunk with an arched glazed door and panelled base, on shaped bracket feet, 77in (195.5cm) high.
A George III mahogany linen press circa 1780, the moulded and dentilated cornice over a blind fret carved frieze, above a par of panelled doors, the interior converted to hanging space, the base with two short over one long drawer with pierced brass handles, standing on bracket feet, 50.5in (128cm) wide x 65.75in (167cm) high x 23.5in (60cm) deep.

A George I walnut kneehole desk, circa 1720, with one long drawer above an arrangement of six short drawers, and three further drawers within the kneehole, on bracket feet, 76.5cm high, 75.5cm wide, 47cm deep, The arrangement of three drawers within the kneehole of this desk is an unusual feature. A George III satinwood, crossbanded and ebony strung bowfront chest of drawers, circa 1790, in the manner of Gillows, the quarter-veneered top with crossbanded oval, above a brushing slide and four graduated drawers, the brass ring handles with oval back plates, on outswept bracket feet, 94cm high, 103cm wide, 60cm deep. Provenance: Wormsley Park; formerly in the Drawing Room. Literature: The present lot is similar to a design for a chest of drawers which appears in the pattern book of Gillows of London and Lancaster ( Westminster City Archives, no. 735/1). Another similar example banded in kingwood, tulipwood and purplewood appears in the Estimate Sketch Books, dated 24th October 1789 and is illustrated in Lindsay Boynton, Gillow Furniture Designs 1760-1800, Royston, 1995, fig.118, pl.11, pp.168 and 180. The present chest of drawers also relates to one sold by Christie`s, London, 30 November 1978, lot 79, designated The Property of the late Countess Temple of Stowe and also a further example sold Christie`s London, 19 September 2002, lot 157. `Barraud & Lund, Cornhill, London, 2053`, a Victorian mahogany mantel clock, the two train fusee movement striking on a gong, five spindle finials on the gadrooned and fluted top of the case above a silvered circular dial within fretted wood spandrels, the base with cabochon and oval bands above the wavy bracket feet, inscribed on the dial and backplate, 42cm (16.5in) high.
An early 19th century Llanelly mahogany long case clock, the eight day movement striking on a bell, the arched dial with moon phase roller, subsidiary seconds, date arc and bridge scene spandrels, the hood with swan neck pediment, the triple arched door between foliate columns, the cross banded base on bracket feet, approximately 230cm (90.5in) high.
J Alker Wigan, a mahogany 8 day longcase clock, circa 1820, the case with a swan neck pediment to the hood, the lower half with cluster reeded column sides and flame figured door to a panelled base and bracket feet, the striking movement to a well painted dial with birds of paradise and shell spandrels, subsidiary seconds and signed J Alker Wigan, 225 x 63 x 27cm, (87.75 x 24.57 x 10.53in).
