A Japanese Meiji period bronzed elephant mounted on wooden base, now set as a mystery clock, the timepiece with white enamelled dial set with Arabic numerals and on typical pivoting bracket, length 25cm.Additional InformationGeneral surface wear to the elephant, it has been later screwed through the end of the trunk to create the mystery clock. The dial is very badly cracked, the frame of the clock is misshapen and replaced and the watch is not in working order, general surface wear throughout.

Further wear and tear, rubbing to detail, etc throughout. There is a split to the right side of the case and further scratches throughout. There are some chips and losses. Stamped No.26126 and 471 to back of case. Handle requires a little 'fiddling' but does work and is now fully wound; some attention and restoration required.
