MANNER OF CHARLES BEVAN (BRITISH, 1815-1891) REFORMED GOTHIC BEDROOM SUITE; CIRCA 1870 Comprising of two dressing chests, wardrobe and washstand Ash wood, inlaid with parquetry and marquetry Wardrobe 217cm high, 194cm wide, 62cm deep First dressing chest: 173cm high, 132cm wide, 60cm deep Second dressing chest: 176cm high, 132cm wide, 56cm deep Washstand: 106cm high, 130cm wide, 62cm deepProvenance: Private Collection of Late 19th Century Design Furniture, Cadogan Square Condition Report: All items with marks, knocks, scratches, indentations, abrasions consistent with age and use, also, clear signs of age use in a domestic setting Overall there are knocks and losses to the edges and extremities, some dirt and discolouration to the surfaces, some of the handles are missing the finial point to the centre of them - overall would benefit from a clean and polish before use in a domestic setting with some restoration probably required to some elements The marble washstand with some scratches and marks to the marble, also an area of deeper gouges, there is a small bracket-spandrel in one drawer of the first dressing chest, the larger one for the kneehole is missing and not present at time of report The wardrobe hinges are slightly various, there is a later metal bar to act as the keeper for the lock to one door, some chips and losses around the doors, the wardrobe with slides and a later chromed metal hanging bar The surfaces of the dressing chair are dry and would benefit from a polish, some old water marks also, there is a section of veneer to the centre of the top that is missingPlease see additional images for visual reference to condition and appearance Condition Report Disclaimer

Large 19th century rosewood cased bracket clock, having foliate moulded case, painted Roman face marked 'Maidstone' and having two train repeating brass plate movement, striking on one gong. With key and pendulum. 47cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) The case is overall grubby with wear, the face has significant and bad losses. Movement is complete bar pendulum locking bar. Twin Fusee movement, probably chain, but not sure.
