An early 19th century oak mule chest, lift-up top above six faux doors, three drawers to the base with carved leaf pillars to either side to shaped plinth base and bracket feet, 87 x 153 x 52cm and a non-matching similar period oak dresser back, stepped frieze above four plate shelves with small cupboard door to either side, carved leaf decoration to the sides of the shelves and doors, 130 x 148 x 10cm (2).
A reproduction yew wood bookcase with dentil moulded cornice above pair of glazed doors enclosing two adjustable shelves, above base section with pair of drawers above pair of panelled doors, raised on bracket feet, 194 x 99 x 37cm. CONDITION REPORT Overall general wear throughout with several areas of fading, staining, scratching etc. Most noticeable on the section where the upper section has scratched the lower section. further light surface wear throughout the base section commensurate with use.
An 18th century oak mule chest with plank top above carved front, the frieze with flower and foliate motifs above a pair of cupboard doors flanking a central fielded panel, raised on bracket feet, 92 x 126 x 55.5cm. CONDITION REPORT The plank top has several splits, a chip to the front right corner. Scratches, marks and water marks to the top. A split to each side, general wear, as to be expected. Most significantly, the feet have been replaced, so they are more modern.
A Smith Enfield bakelite bracket clock with key and pendulum.The overall dimensions are as follows: height 20cm, width 22cm and depth 12cm. Condition- no signs of damage to the case. The clock is sold as found but we have given it a quick check and it does run after a few turns of the key and stike a gong on the hour with a single gong on the half hour.

A CINNABAR LACQUER CARVED PRUNUS-SHAPED JARDINIÈREQianlongThe fine five-lobed body carved with panels of scholars and sages and their attendants within mountainous landscapes, all reserved on a ground of scrolling lotus and acanthus leaves, supported on bracket feet, the gilt-decorated brown-lacquered stand with a shaped apron with floral designs in gilt, supported by scrolling cabriole legs with ruyi terminals. These include a figure of a sage followed by an attendant carrying a branch of lingzhi fungi, two scenes of sages with boys each carrying a large peach, a sage with a boy carrying a flower basket, and a sage with a boy carrying books. The peach and lingzhi represent the wish for longevity, the flower basket may be related to the Daoist Immortal Lan Caihe. To vary each scene, the carver used different trees to frame the landscapes, including pine, paulownia and eucalyptus. A related five-lobed carved cinnabar lacquer jardinière, Qing dynasty, is in the collection of the the National Palace Museum, Taipei.
