A GEORGIAN DESIGN TWIN FUSEE BRACKET CLOCK, having dome topped mahogany case with brass columns and finials, side carrying handles, pierced brass grilles and standing upon brass bracket feet, the 8-day striking movement with decoratively engraved bac k plate, the arched face with silvered chapter ring with Roman enumerated hours and Arabic minutes, to the arch a chime/silent indicator and a chime choice indicator "Eight Bells" or "Chime as St. Mary's Cambridge", case 46cm high
A circa 1900 brass cased carriage clock, the movement by Drocourt, bearing stamp verso, inscribed to backplate "11336 Repousée par Leroy & Fils, Palais Royale ...", the dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, inscribed "Leroy & Fils, 13 & 15 Palais Royale, Paris, 211 Regent Street, London", raised on a bracket foot base, housed in a leather covered carrying case, complete with sales invoice dated "21 4 83" for Imperial Antiques Chislehurst, 10 cm high excluding handle CONDITION REPORTS Case fairly shabby with leather scratched in many areas, loop missing bottom right hand side, button working top right. Contains copy of 1983 invoice and key, together with another key (not original). Appears to be working though this is not guaranteed
A modern silver cased carriage clock, the scrollwork swing handle with crown motif, the four glass case with carytid figures to each corner, raised on bracket feet, the movement with white enamelled dial and Roman numerals inscribed "Chas. Frodsham London", No'd to base "0702" (by TC, London, 1978), 11 cm high including handle CONDITION REPORTS No key. Some small dents to the casing. Various small scratches. Large build-up of polish in the crevices. Rocks ever so slightly on a flat surface. We are not clock specialists and cannot tell you if it is working or not - see images for further details. General wear and tear throguhout
A Victorian silver cased and tortoiseshell mounted mantle clock of lancet form raised on stepped bracket feet, the movement with white enamelled dial and Roman numerals by Wright & Davies, London, 1896, 8.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS We are not clock specialists and do not sell anything in working order. Unable to get to the mechanism easily so cannot comment on it. Various light scratches to the case, some light dents to the case. Appears to be some fine cracks in the dial including one ranging from the nos 4 - 6 along the edge. Various general small signs of wear and tear through age and use throughout. Some pitted like black marks. Suggest viewing in person
An 18th century Queen Anne walnut kneehole desk of small proportions having bracket legs with pedestals of drawers flanking a recessed kneehole cupboard having oyster veneer qtr panel front. Above a hidden arch drawer. Further drawers atop, all having swan neck handles on fret back plates. Above a cross banded qtr veneer desk top, The drawers with crude dovetailing and the drawer linings running front to back. Measures 75cm high x 78cm wide and 51cm deep.
A 19th century Anglo Colonnial ( Sri Lanka ) Coromandel, satinwood and olive by Don Carolis , Colombo, Sri Lanka. Believed to have belonged to the Governer of Ceylon, the bureau raised on bracket legs with a series of drawers under fall front slope above. The interior with fully appointed interior. The bureau profusely carved all over with coromandel top drawer. The sides with satinwood carved panel scenes of elephants and master. The rear of the bureau heavily polished and with chamfered hardwood panels bearing the label for Don Carolis , Colombo, makers for the Queens House. The President's House is the official residence and workplace of the President of Sri Lanka, located at Janadhipathi Mawatha, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Since 1804 it has been the residence of British governors and governors-general and Sri Lankan presidents, having been known as the "King's House" or the "Queen's House" until Sri Lanka became a republic in 1972. measures 120cms high x 100cms wide x 60cms depth
A 19th century French flame mahogany and black/grey veined marble commode secretaire chest of drawers being raised on bracket feet supports with central bank of drawers, the upper drawer with appointed interior and fall front. All having brass key escutcheons. Atop a large flared black and grey veined marble top. Measures 120cm wide x 97cm high x 48cm depth.
