An early 19th century eight day mahogany longcase clock by Henry Hawkins of Plymouth, the eight day, four pillar, twin train movement striking on a bell, the signed arched and engraved brass dial with Arabic numerals, pierced black painted steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial at noon, date arch at six, engraved sunburst spandrels, painted rolling moon phase beneath the arched `High Water at Plymouth` scale, the case with flared arched cornice over an arched glazed door flanked by plain pillars, the trunk with arched door flanked by reel moulded quarter pilasters, on a plain base with integral bracket feet, 83in. A Channel Islands eight day mahogany and yew longcase clock by Nicholas Le Huray of Guernsey, with four pillar, twin train bell strike movement, the signed, white painted Arabic dial with subsidiary seconds dial at noon and date dial at six, floral painted spandrels, an oval painted vignette to the arch of a lady holding a fan with her dog in a park, the inlaid mahogany case with flared arched cornice centred by an inlaid shield over an arched door in yew veneer, the trunk with flame mahogany arched and kingwood cross banded door, headed to the corners with fan paterae, the cross banded base with flame mahogany panel within herringbone banding, circular fan paterae to the incuse corners, on a plinth with integral bracket feet, 83½in. A Channel Islands mahogany eight day longcase clock by Nicolas Blondel of Guernsey, the backplate of the brass turned four pillar, twin train, bell strike movement engraved `AOUST. 28. ane. J742 : No56`, further impressed `L.g. Weygang Jan. 25 1893` to lower backplate, complete with signed lead weights, the brass dial with matted centre, silvered Roman chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial at noon, date aperture at six, four seasons gilt brass spandrels, signed to chapter ring at six, `Nicolas Blondel Guernesey`, the good quality later 19th century mahogany case with flared cornice over a fluted frieze and square glazed door flanked by fluted pillars, fretwork side grilles, the trunk with fielded arched panelled door flanked by fluted columns with foliate bracket capitals, on a conforming fielded panelled base with turned feet, 76¼in. A miniature Queen Anne style burr walnut longcase clock c.1910, the swan neck arched top with central urn finial, over an arched door enclosing a brass dial with matted centre and silvered chapter ring and `Tempus Fugit` roundel to arch, brass mask spandrels, with an eight day bell strike mantel clock style movement, the slender trunk with shaped arched door, on a plinth base with integral bracket feet, 70¾in. (179.5cm.) high.
A good quality Edwardian mahogany and marquetry bureau the top, fall and drawers all with boxwood stringing and cross banding, the fall and drawers with floral and foliate marquetry scrolls issuing from an urn and lyres, the fitted interior with central cupboard and six pigeon holes over four drawers, inset black leather writing surface, the three oak lined drawers with reeded and floral swan neck handles, on shaped bracket feet, 34¼ x 18in. A Channel Islands inlaid mahogany bowfronted chest of drawers c.1835, the rosewood cross banded top over four long graduated drawers, with ivory escutcheons, boxwood stringing and pressed brass rosette ring handles, on swept bracket feet united by a boxwood strung wavy apron centred by a four pointed star, 39¾ x 21¾in. (101 x 55.25cm.), 37½in. (92.5cm.) high.
An unusual French silver plated necessaire second half 19th century, realistically modelled in the form of a walnut, the hinged lid when lifted allowing a hinged bracket to fold out holding a miniature scent bottle with bone stopper and pins, the opposing side with hinged bevelled glass mirror lifting to reveal an ivory aide memoir plate to mirror underside, the deposit below for powder, as indicated by the presence of an miniature ivory handled and cygnet down powder puff applicator, 2in.
