EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK marked 'Watkins, Abergavenny', having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture flanked by plain turned columns, the waist with arch moulded door having inlaid shell motif on a panel base with bracket feet. Arch painted face with seconds dial and date aperture, Roman numerals and painted floral decoration. 16 x 12" dial approx. 8 day two train movement striking on one bell. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall in fair condition for age, case has quite a nice colour. The panel base has vertical splits to the boards. The face has some wear although legible. Includes pendulum and two weights.

18TH CENTURY 8 DAY BRASS FACED SHROPSHIRE LONGCASE CLOCK marked 'Webster ,Salop', the case having moulded flat hood above square aperture, moulded ogee pointed arch door to the waist on a plain base with skirted bracket feet. Brass face with Roman and Arabic numerals, seconds dial, date aperture and foliate spandrels. Two train movement with baluster columns striking on one bell, the face 12" square approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall appearing in good condition with nice colour. The cornice likely a replacement, the face very bright probably re-polished. Skirted feet may be a replacement. Includes pendulum and two weights.
W: 14.7cm Of rectangular shape with slightly flared sides rising to a lipped rim, enamelled around the exterior in grisaille with various blooms on leafy floral sprays, a band of foliate scroll at the rim, all reserved on a pale yellow ground, supported on four bracket feet, inscribed with a ‘Tihedianzhi’ (‘made at the Hall of Embodied Harmony’) iron-red four-character seal mark on the base, wooden stand. A George III mahogany chest of drawers, with three long drawers on bracket feet, height 87cm, width 102cm, depth 52cm.Condition report: There is wear that is indicative of its age and use. There is scratching on the chest top. There are some chip's to the corners, but these have aged well and are not fresh.This is a sturdy chest of drawers, there is no movement in the joints and all the drawers move smoothly.
A German stained beech wardrobe, late 19th century, with a pair of mirrored doors above a single drawer on bracket feet, height 193cm, width 129cm, depth 48cm.Condition report: There are some superficial scratches. We have one key that works both locks. Unusually, both key holes are upside down with the (smaller) key fitting in as normal. The drawer slides comfortably in and out. There are no obvious signs of worm. At its widest point it is 129cm with an inside depth of 42cm.This is a sturdy wardrobe in good condition.
