An 18th Century Walnut Veneered Bureau Bookcase. The upper section having a moulded cornice above two mirrored doors. The bevel-edged mirror panels framed by moulding within cross-grained and feather banded borders above two candle slides. The doors opening to reveal adjustable shelves within. The base section having a sloped fall front with moulded book rest and side loper supports enclosing a fitted interior of arched pigeon holes & stepped drawers flanking a sliding lid with stationary well concealed behind two dummy-front frieze drawers. The two further short drawers and two long drawers below framed by reeded moulding and standing on bracket feet, 80½ ins (205 cms) high, 33 ins (84 cms) wide.
An Fine 19th Century Tortoiseshell & Brass Box. The rectangular overhanging top inlaid with a brass diamond centred by a shark and a zig-zag outer border. The ornately fitted interior having a back section lifting out as a separate box with two doors enclosing shelved interiors. The slim middle section having three sliding lids, and the front section incorporating three lidded compartments that open to reveal further red-velvet lined lidded sections. The front & sides similarly inlaid with brass borders above bracket feet. 6 ins (15 cms) in height, 14½ ins (37 cms) in width, 11 ins (28 cms) in depth.
A Charming 17th Century Spanish Walnut Low Table. The thick well patinated plank top raised on three sledge form supports forming shaped bracket ends dividing two moulded front drawers fitted with unusual triangular back-plates and rose head knops. The slanted A-form legs & stretchers carved with short astrigal mouldings 19½ ins (49.5 cms) in height, 35 ins (89 cms) in depth, 19¼ ins (49 cms) wide.
A Pretty 18th Century Oak Chest of Drawers of modest proportions. The four long graduated drawers inlaid with banding and having lip-moulded edges and original pierced brass fittings. The sides enhanced with fluted quarter columns leading down to unusual square bracket feet fretted with quatrefoil panels, 31½ ins (80 cms) high, 33 ins (84 cms) wide, 19¾ ins (50 cms) deep.
