A pair of ceramic torcheres with realistic polychrome painted finish modelled in the forms of Angels dressed in dalmatics, standing barefoot on stepped octagonal bases, each holding a full height gilt torch decorated with beadwork and acanthus moulding, supporting a gilt metal corona style foliate bracket mounted two tier seven light lamp (now converted to electricity), max 190cm high, the figures 132cm high
MAHOGANY MINIATURE BUREAU in the 18th Century-style on bracket feet and having three long and two short drawers, the slope hinging to reveal a fine quality arrangement of drawers, pigeon-holes and centre cupboard, detailed with moulding and brass fittings and side handles, 40cms wide x 45.5cms high
A late 19th century gilt metal and tortoiseshell mantel clock, the porcelain dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals, the movement stamped 'A.1' and numbered 5999 4 11, height 35.5cm and a wall bracket (2).Additional InformationSome chips and losses to the tortoiseshell, tarnishing and rubbing to the gilt of the metal, not tested and no guarantee of working order.
A good 19th century mahogany and marquetry inlaid eight day longcase clock with musical mechanism, the altered and associated arched brass dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals and rolling moon phase, the trunk with carved detail to quarter columns above plinth base to bracket feet, height approx 235cm. Additional InformationSome lifting, cracking, splitting etc to veneer throughout, some replaced sections, both hands replacements, has lost the section of cornice below the hood on the left hand side, feet section probably replaced, the feet damaged with one completely missing the lowest section having been replaced with a wooden block. Dial earlier, associated to case. The musical mechanism not currently functioning.
