18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK maker John Barr of Port Glasgow, the case with fret carved dentil cornice and spiral Corinthian columns to tne hood, over trunk with fluted quarter columns, on bracket feet, the arched 12 inch brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter, subsidiary seconds and chamfered square date aperture, the arch with silvered six-tune selector and engraved with a dog rose, the movement now chiming on a later single bell, 215cm high
VICTORIAN MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK retailed by Ashworth & Co of Manchester, the eight inch enamel Roman Dial with spade hands above a scrolling foliate apron and rectangular plinth, the movement with chain driven single fusee and adjustable brass bob pendulum, 35cm high Some discolouration to enamel dial. The case with a crack and some loss at top of mahogany frame.
