A late 18th Century Chippendale period mahogany kneehole desk, the rectangular top with moulded border, fitted a brushing slide and surround of seven drawers with central recessed cupboard and drawer above, on six bracket feet, 97cm wide Condition Report: Top stained and with scratches and indentations. Moulded border loose on left hand side, draw front mouldings rubbed and split in places and draw front with scratches acceptable with age. Height is 81cm and depth is 48.5cm
11th century AD. A copper-alloy stirrup mount of Williams's Class B Type 3 Group 1, triangular upper section ribbed on the outer edges, main plate with a moulded bear's head with openwork ears; flange to the rear of the lower edge rivetted to the remains of the bracket. 32 grams, 48mm (2").Fine condition. Found near Eye, Norfolk, UK. Cf. Williams, D. Late Saxon Stirrup-Strap Mounts, CBA Research Report 111, London, 1997, item 427.

A FRENCH NAPOLEON III GILT BRONZE DESK STAND, by Ferdinand Barbedienne, Paris, c.1870, the quatrefoil stand surmounted with a bust of Napolean I, the surface decorated in bas relief with figures and animals and other motifs in the Grecian style, fitted with two large bulbous oval inkwells with blue glass liners and another inkwell, the entire raised on scroll bracket legs and paw feet, 49 x 30 x 30cm high; together with a matching paper knife in the form of a Greek sword, 33 cm long. Stamped F. Barbedienne, FONDEUR, the paper knife also signed F. Levillian.

A mid 19th Century mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 13.5" square arched enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute track and subsidiary dial, signed Robert Hall Late Stacey, Worksop painted with figures feeding chickens to arch and houses and bridges to spandrels, eight day bell striking four pill;ar movement, the hood with broken scroll pediment over a glazed door flanked by baluster turned freestanding supports over a trunk with hinged door with shaped top on box base raised on bracket feet, bears Robert Hall paper label inside case. With pendulum and weights, replacements elements to case. 235cm high.
An 18th century twin fuse eight day bracket clock, the silvered Roman numeral dial, signed Charles Clay of London, with a matted brass centre with date aperture, all below a silent/strike dial flanked by music playing putto, the movement with turned pillars, engraved back plate and movement striking on a bell, all in an ebonised case with inverted bell shaped top with brass loop handle, 40cm to top of the handle (possibly converted from a repeating movement and with overhaul to case)
