EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK NOW GLAZED TWO STAGE STANDING CORNER CUPBOARD having moulded cornice over veneered and banded frieze, two later glazed oval panel doors revealing shaped shelves to the interior on a projecting base with two blind panelled doors revealing fitted shelf to the interior. Circa 1830. 43" x 25" x 83" (109cm x 63cm x 211cm) CONDITION REPORT: Various mouldings, front bracket feet etc. whilst with the piece are loose and require re-fixing. The oval panels may be later glazed. A little dry in places. Some restoration required.

A large George III period mahogany and boxwood strung eight day Longcase Clock, the 12" broken arch brushed steel dial below three gilt metal open winged eagle finials, Roman numerals subsidiary seconds hand and date aperture and the dial signed Lock, Plym. Dock and with Adamesque style husks and spandrels, all flanked by reeded columns and a broken arch trunk with central marquetry conch shell and flanked by quadrant reeded pilasters, raised on bracket feet, approx. 222cm high

A novelty Victorian hallmarked silver vesta case modelled as a horseshoe, the hinged lid enclosing the striking surface and three apertures with rolling side arm, Birmingham 1880, 5.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Hallmark clear (see photo), some surface scratches, the top bracket is slightly tight. Slightly compressed in centre, where thumb would be placed when opening lid with other hand. Several small dents to edge. Surface wear commensurate with age. We can post the item within the UK in a jiffy bag with insurance value up to £500 for a cost of £12 + VAT.
An Edwardian oak and silver plate mounted three bottle tantalus for restoration, the crossed bar handle and locking arm above three square cut decanters and shaped base with plated plaque set with initials, length 38cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: At some stage somebody has forced the tantalus open which has sprung a full length section of the wood away. This has also meant that the arm and side bracket supports are also loose. There is a key present. With sympathetic restoration putting the main oak frame back together it would appear the tantalus could return to its former good state.
An 18th century red walnut bureau bookcase, the upper section with twin bevelled mirrored doors enclosing adjustable shelves and an arrangement of short drawers above a base with hinged fall front revealing pigeon holes, drawers and central slide above three frieze drawers, three long graduated drawers and bracket feet, possibly American, width 108cm.
An early 20th century walnut linen press, the moulded cornice above two cupboard doors enclosing two later shelves above a base of two short and one long faux drawer above a single real drawer, raised on bracket feet, width 121cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some scuffs and scrapes around edges of doors. Minor warping/lifting and splits to veneer in places. Sturdy.
A 19th century mahogany chest of five graduated drawers with blind fret carved frieze on bracket feet, 108 x 77 x 44cm. CONDITION REPORT: There appears to have been perhaps a mirror back or something to sit on the top of it which is now missing, the holes have been filled in sometime ago. A little bit of moulding missing on the front left corner beneath the frieze. Some slight discolouration on the drawers, minor surface scratches elsewhere, otherwise OK.
An Edwardian mahogany and satinwood crossbanded three piece bedroom suite comprising wardrobe with inverted breakfront moulded cornice above two cupboard doors, two short and four long graduated drawers flanked by full length mirrored doors on bracket feet, width 210cm, the matching dressing chest and a pot cupboard (3).
A 19th century giltwood framed dressing stool, the stud decorated upholstered top above four square section tapering legs united by a shaped under tier and raised on scrolling feet, reputedly form a Scottish castle, the top 46 x 44cm. CONDITION REPORT: Losses to gilt throughout. Old bracket repairs to stretcher (see photo). corner of one foot reglued (see photo). Height of stool approx 50.5cm.
