A telescopic sight for a Holland & Holland sporting rifle, 10½” overall, with lugs for securing bolts with 4” centres, by “Aldis Brothers, Birmingham, No 68917, 1916”, the body engraved “Holland & Holland” and serial number “F/779”, this number also stamped on the underside of one securing bracket, of heavy blackened brass construction. GC (some wear to blacking); with its leather lens covers and original leather carrying case which is also numbered F779, and has adjusting instructions in the lid. Plate 7
