A good quality Reproduction Mahogany finished Bureau Bookcase, moulded top two of five pane glazed door with wooden glazing bars, above full revealing various stationary Compartments over, frieze drawer and three graduated drawers on Plinth bracket foot base 25`` wide by 75`` high by 17`` deep.
An Art Nouveau oak mirror back Sideboard, shaped and pierced pediment, moulded cornice above a large arch top bevel plated mirror flanked by shaped and pierced supports with corner shelves and single full length shelf, the base having bull nose moulded top, two frieze drawers above two single panel cupboard doors, with central stylised tulip carving. Brass and iron handles throughout and boxwood and ebony inlay, on bracket feet. 56``W x 79``H x 20``D
An early 19c eight day longcase clock with a 13" arched painted dial signed Jas.Leithead, Galashiels and having floral corners and a painting in the arch entitled `Come Under My Plaidy`. It has seconds and date rings and matched brass hands. The oak case has swan neck pediments to the hood and fluted columns flanking the dial, the trunk has fluted quarter columns to the corners and a trunk door with a thick rectangular panel below. The base is plain with bracket feet, 84" tall overall.
A George III style mahogany double pedestal desk commissioned in the mid-1970s from a cabinet maker in Chard, Somerset, the moulded crossbanded top inset with an oval pale green gilt tooled leather writing surface, with panelled canted corners and serpentine central frieze drawer flanked by two short frieze drawers, the pedestals with three graduated drawers and shaped bracket feet, 51in. (130cm.) wide x 26in. (66cm.) deep.
An early George III mahogany bachelor`s chest circa 1760, the moulded top with shaped corners, over two short and three long graduated drawers, with back to front grained oak linings, original pierced brass escutcheons, iron locks and later pierced brass handles, the canted corners with quarter pilasters, on a moulded base with shaped bracket feet, 35.5in. (90cm.) wide x 18.5in. (47cm.) deep x 30.5in. (77.5cm.) high.
A Channel Islands oak cased longcase clock late-18th century, the brass Roman dial signed `Naftels Guernsey`, with pierced steel hands, date aperture and gilt shell and scroll spandrels, the weight driven thirty hour movement striking on a bell, the case with a flared cornice over a square glazed door flanked by turned pilasters, the trunk with canted corners and inlaid with toothed banding and crossbanded in mahogany, on a plain base with bracket feet and shaped apron, 75.25in. (191cm.) high.
An early 18th century oak dresser base the moulded two plank top over three convex fielded drawers of with nailed joints, oval brass escutcheons, brass handles and iron locks, over two panelled doors with iron butterfly hinges flanking a conforming central panel, on a moulded plinth and later bracket feet, 75in. (190.5cm.) wide x 35.5in. (90cm.) high x 19.75in. (50cm.) deep.
An 18th century elm coffer bach with moulded top on original iron strap hinges, later shaped brass escutcheon, paper lined interior, over a single drawer with slide catch inside coffer, original shaped brass handles and faux-escutcheon, on a moulded plinth with integral bracket feet, 32 x 16.5in. (81 x 42cm.) x 19in. (48cm.) high.
A late 18th century country oak cupboard bookcase circa 1780, the flared moulded cornice over a dentil carved and mahogany crossbanded frieze, above panel moulded doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, the base with mahogany crossbanded top over two short and three long graduated crossbanded drawers with the original brass swan`s neck handles, on short bracket feet, 81.25in. (206.5cm.) high.
A rare Regency mahogany tea chest carved and constructed in the manner of a 15th century boarded chest with domed lid and bracket feet, inside a central sugar bowl compartment and a pair of caddies with hinged lids. By family repute, this tea chest was a wedding gift from the Lichfields of Shugborough Hall, Staffordshire. (See illustration)
