An Edison Home Phonograph, no. H114965, with large brass horn and cylinder records, by Clarion and Edison, some in original card advertising boxes.46cm long, 23cm wide, 31cm high with lid on. Brass horn 80cm long. The horn has a modern metal suspension bracket. With crank key.This phonograph was purchased in 1913 by Ernest Brook, a farmer in Little Sampford, Essex, from Walbro's Bicycle Shop in Saffron Walden. Apparently the large brass horn was the demonstration model in the shop. it has remained in the same family since then.Condition report: Case has some surface deterioration in polish, scratches, marks, staining. metalwork has some rusted areas, horn has small dents, horn support bracket is modern. Cylinders are in poor condition, with surface bloom and dirt. Cardboad boxes are poor too, with many lids missing, tears, stains
An early 18th century walnut chest of drawers, c.1745, with feather banded decoration on square bracket feet, 98cm wide, 54cm deep, 99cm highCondition report: The chest has been restored and is ready to use, with two small veneer losses to the left and right end of the carcase rail between the second and third drawer, some shrinkage cracks to the back edge of the top veneers. The bracket feet and brasses are replacements in the correct manner. Two drawers have cockbeading missing at the ends.See images

The fittings retain little of their original gilding, there is movement to them and there is overall wear to gilding and painted decoration. Fine quality late 19th/early 20th century Charles Frodsham mantel clock with eight day, twin fusee movement and engraved lever escapement, striking on a bell, backplate signed W & H Sch. Silvered engine turned dial, with Breguet style hands, signed Chas. Frodsham. London. In a gilt metal case with reeded pilasters and engine turned decoration, star cut oval glazed side panels, bevelled top glass and reeded carrying handle, on splayed bracket feet. (Key present) 17cm wide x 28cm overall height.Condition report: Good original condition . The case retains approx 95% of its original gilding and the movement runs well and strikes on the hours, although it has not been tested for its time keeping. The back of the case does not open so there is no access to the movement apart from taking the case apart.
18th century Swiss bracket clock with white enamel dial signed 'Amand Huguenot A Berne', quarter repeating movement striking on two bells in ornate painted and gilt metal mounted case with matching original wall bracket, key and pendulum present. The clock 64 cm high, 42 cm wide, the bracket 23 cm high, 44 cm wide.

A pair of early 19th century old Sheffield plated two-handled wine coolers, by Roberts, Smith and Co., circa 1830, lobed baluster form, leaf and shell capped fluted side handles, engraved with an armorial and motto, on four foliate scroll bracket feet, with shell and scroll collars and with liners, height 27cm. A mixed lot, comprising silver items: a dressing table jar, Birmingham 1911, the cover inscribed 'To Commemorate May 8th Aug 15th VE 1945 and VJ', plus a dressing table box, by J. Gloster Limited, Birmingham 1913, of plain oval form, on four foliate bracket feet, plus a smaller dressing table box, and a matchbox cover, plus a Victorian electroplated table gong, modelled as a sign post, engraved 'This Way', at the base of the post is a seated child in the Kate Greenaway manner, with a wooden striker. A presentation George III silver teapot and associated stand, the teapot by Joseph Scammell, London 1793, the stand by John Gold 1796, oval form, bright-cut foliate scroll decoration and borders, scroll handle, the domed flush-hinged cover with an oval finial, engraved with two foliate cartouches, initialled, inscribed 'Presented by the Owners of the Ship Betsey to Captain John Quinton for his great care and attention for the interests of the ship', the stand of oval form, reeded border, similar decoration, on four bracket feet, length handle to spout 32cm, approx. weight 25.8oz. (2) Betsey was a ship of 200 tons, which was built in Nova Scotia in 1789, and was owned by Bullock. Captain Quniton sailed her on the London to Lisbon route. She had some damages in 1792, which were repaired and was classed A1 at Lloyds. Provenance: purchased from W. H. Lane and Son, Penzance, 16/17 March 1976, lot 1197.
λA George III silver teapot and stand, by Chawner and Emes, London 1797, the stand by Henry Chawner, London 1795, oval form, scroll handle, ivory finial, tapering spout, engraved with a crest, the stand of oval form, reeded border, on four bracket feet, length handle to spout 25.2cm, approx. weight 18.4oz. (2) The crest is that of Bracken, Byres, Cauty, Dowding, Fitz-Marmaduke, Montgomery and Pitman.
A George III silver two-handled tray, over-struck with maker's mark of by Crouch and Hannam, London 1793, oval form, reeded border and foliate capped handles, engraved with roundels and foliate decoration, the centre with an armorial, on four bracket feet, length handle to handle 63cm, approx. weight 93.5oz. The arms are those of those of Grosvenor impaling Leveson-Gower. Hugh Lupus Grosvenor (1825-1899), baronet of Eaton Hall in Cheshire, Earl Grosvenor, English landowner, politician and racehorse owner. He married Lady Constance Sutherland-Leveson-Gowe, daughter of the Duke of Sutherland and became first Duke of Westminster in 1874.
