A late 18th Century oak cased eight day longcase clock by Rob Webster, ShrewsburyThe clock with an openwork broken twin swan neck pediment above a blind fretwork frieze and tapering columns flanking a 12" brass dial, the dial painted with Roman and Arabic numerals and centred with a subsidiary second dial and date aperture along with the makers name, enclosed by foliate spandrels, the slender crossbanded case with a conforming rectangular door above a lower panel and bracket feet, two weight and pendulum, 209cm high.
A good George III oak bureauThe rectangular moulded fall front centred with an inlaid star enclosing a sloping and arcaded interior with a leather inset writing surface, above a faux drawer flanked by two small drawers over three graduated cock beaded drawers, each applied with embossed oval back plates and swing handles, raised on reduced bracket feet, 95 x 106 x 55cm.
A pair of late Victorian brass postage weighing scales, on a pierced platform upon four bracket feet, with associated weights, 27cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Rubbing to the brass detailing throughout. The bar at the bottom centre of the scales is not fixed property and will need attention. At the moment the scales will not balance.
A George III oak eight day longcase clock, the painted 38.5cm dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture signed St Newness Whitchurch, with moon phase dial decorated with a ship and a cottage, with movement striking on a bell, with the broken swans neck hood with brass flower head roundels, the trunk with an inlaid serpentine door and fluted corner pilasters, on bracket feet, 233cm. With a George III oak hanging corner cabinet, with panelled door, 100cm H x 79cm W (2) CONDITION REPORT: The movement and case may not be original. The back of the hood has a flange so you have to lift it over the dial before you slide it back. The top of the back board has been altered and the seat board may not be original. Case tired with cracks and repairs. Appears to be part of the moulding to the edge of the trunk (behind the door) which is replaced or loose. No key or winder. Some attention will be needed. Not currently running.
An Edwardian Arts and Crafts inlaid walnut wardrobe, with three doors, two doors carved with sun flowers, on bracket feet, 214cm H x 185cm W x 53.5cm D CONDITION REPORT: The wardrobe has hanging rails to behind both side doors. Internally the lining is grubby and worn. Externally much better and brighter with general light age wear patina and some scuffing to the base.
A gun cabinet modelled as a Regency Wellington chest, with locking bar and door with two locks seven faux drawers enclosing a baize and metal lined interior, on bracket feet, 140cm H x 59cm W x 33cm D CONDITION REPORT: Some light scratches and wear. The door catches a little on the right when it opens and connects with the left bar, so this has marked the moulding of the faux drawer fronts a little. Slight rubbing to the top of the locking barn. Some age scuffs at base. Internally clean. Overall ok.
An Edwardian Mahogany Georgian style double door Wardrobe with cornice over opposing pair of moulded single panel doors opening to reveal full length hanging space over two short over one long graduated drawers, on shaped apron and splayed bracket feet. 49 3/4"wide x 85 1/2" high x 25 1/2" deep.
A Dutch thirty hour wall clock, 19th century, gilt painted cast lead pierced frets, polychrome painted dial with figures and flowers in the corners, central painted lake scene, Roman numerals, single hand, four pillar bird cage movement with a verge escapement and striking on a top mounted bell, 42.5cm high, together with the painted wood wall bracket Provenance: A Private European Collector 08.12.16, Lead frets have been later gilt painted, frets with cracks and damages, dial is rubbed and discoloured in parts, side panels are missing, movement is dirty, crutch is missing, with a pendulum and one weight.
A 19th century gilt framed overmantle mirror of slightly inverted breakfront form, the moulded cornice with applied pierced and scrolling crest and palmette finials over an oblong plate with rounded top corners flanked by fluted flat columns with moulded capitals and scrolling bracket supports, bears label verso for John Easten and Sons, Market Place, Hull, 159cm wide, 179cm high.
An early 19th century mahogany linen press, with pierced scrolling pediment over an inlaid frieze, in turn over two oval panelled doors enclosing three pull-out trays, on a base with two short and two long graduated cockbeaded drawers with turned knob handles on splayed bracket feet, 139cm wide, 227cm high, 58cm deep.
A 19th century classical style gilt framed overmantle mirror, of slightly inverted breakfront form, the triangular shaped pediment with egg and dart moulding and palmette finials over an anthemion frieze and oblong plate flanked by fluted flat columns with moulded bracket supports, 147cm wide, 169cm high.
A Japanese black lacquered table cabinet with gilt floral and bird decoration and inset porcelain panels, comprising hinged top over two short drawers, the recessed centre section with two cupboard doors flanked by six graduated drawers on single drawer base with bracket feet, 32cm wide, 39cm high, together with a similar red lacquered table cabinet, 30cm wide, 41cm high (2).
