Edwardian satinwood bureau bookcase with polychrome painted floral festoons, swan neck pediment, two astragal glazed doors and four drawers below on splayed bracket feet, 79cm wide x 43cm deep x 205cm. Provenance: Purchased T. C. S. Brooke antiques, Wroxham 3rd March 1972 for £375Distance between shelves approximately 25cm, one glass panel is cracked, split to veneer on fall, elements becoming detached. Small damage to leather to interior, upper section has been fitted with a light, minor splits to veneers but basically good condition. Two keys present (no key to glazed section)

Good George I/II century red walnut bureau bookcase of small proportions, the upper section with moulded cornice and adjustable shelves enclosed by mirrored door with candle slide below, the base with sloping fall enclosing fitted interior, having four graduated drawers below, on bracket feet, 64cm wide x 52cm deep x 192cm high Mirrored plate is early and with some general deterioration, possibly original but not bevelled as might be anticipated metalwork is in keeping, plugs to drawer fronts suggest a previous scheme of handles. Minor splits to fall. Some suggestion of old restoration and general wear commensurate with age, but overall an attractive piece in good useable condition and no severe restoration/damage

A LIVE STEAM TEST MODEL ATTRIBUTED TO BASSETT-LOWKE, CIRCA 1925 the 60in. hull carved from the solid and finished in white below the waterline, green boot top and blue topsides and inscribed Nellie to stern, chrome-plated friction rudder and propellor on bracket, driven by two-cylinder Stuart Turner marine engine, connected to twin water tube spirit-fired boiler with working pressure gauges, aluminium foredeck with ventilators and threaded jackstaff, loosely mounted on wooden stand, including stand -- 15 x 60 x 12in. (38 x 152.5 x 30.5cm.)Fine overall condition. Although untested is thought to be in working order, no boiler certificate available
