Nicholls, Canterbury' to a silvered disc, with silvered chapter ring and scroll engraved centre, gilt spandrels, unsigned twin fusee movement, the case with arched side fret panels, all on ogee brass feet, 41 x 29cm (16 x 11in) Other Notes: Note: Hammond Nicholls is recorded working in High Street, Canterbury, 1789-1810.

A 19th century mahogany bracket timepiece, the single pad top with handle above 7inch painted circular dial, pierced lacquered brass fret panels below the dial and to both sides, unsigned chain fusee movement with tapering plates, all on ogee brass feet, with an associated wall bracket 39 x 28cm (15 x 11in) dial and movement slightly loose in case. Dial worn in places and retouched. lacks a small veneer section to the reverse. Untested.

(worn), London 1740, later initialled within a belt, 9.5cm (3 3/4in) high, g (10.55 oz) gross (2) The first active from 1821 until his retirement in 1866.

Signs of wood worm (not live), one missing handle, general scuffs and scratches, loose to veneer, slight tarnishing to the brass handles.
