A Continental pine and ebonised coffer with ornate ironwork hasp and staple lock, ornate iron bracket decoration and hinges raised on block feet CONDITION REPORTS Knocks, dumps, chips to edges, surface scratches, some staining throughout conducive to age and general use - please see photos. The top has a split from the left has side running along the top all the way across to just beyond the central hinge, the dark staining throughout is very rubbed, the top has also had somebody writing on it and you can see a imprint in the top, there are also several deep pitting marks to the lid. However, generally the piece appears sound but would benefit from general restoration.
An Edwardian mahogany and inlaid three piece bedroom suite comprising wardrobe compactum with central glazed doors over a recess and two drawers flanked by mirrored doors enclosing hanging spaces over two large drawers on splayed bracket feet, together with the matching drop centre dressing table with oval mirror over a central drawer flanked by two banks of four drawers, and a matching tile back marble top wash stand with two drawers over two cupboard doors on square tapered legs to castors, together with a similar single door pot cupboard (4) CONDITION REPORTS Please note that the horse figures in the photos are NOT part of this lot. Condition - Wear, scuffs, scratches, some stains, chips and losses. Glazed doors have some losses including broken and missing glass and they are not currently attached. Overall some broken and missing edges and mouldings, some cracks and losses. Marble top is very damaged and deteriorated and has large areas missing.
A George III mahogany crossbanded oak longcase clock, 33cm arched painted dial. convex Arabic chapter, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture, floral spandrels, Adam and Eve automaton to arch, twin winding holes, signed Mawkes/Derby, the eight day movement striking on a bell, hood with swan neck cornice terminating in brass stamped roundels, centred with a ball and spire finial, turned columns, shaped door to waist flanked by canted angles, outswept base, bracket feet, 218cm high, c.1830 ***William Mawkes was the fourth son of Thomas Mawkes (1740-1821) a former apprentice and employee of the celebrated John Whitehurst, FRS. William, who was born in 1782, worked with his father until his death and then on his own account until c. 1830. This is the first recorded example of an automaton clock by this maker.

INSET PANELS TO THE CORNERS WITH BRASS EDGING, BRASS FISH SCALE FRETS TO THE SIDES AND STANDING ON BRASS BALL FEET. ALEXANDER MOWATT IS RECORDED AS HAVING WORKED IN BATH FROM 1816 -1866.
A silver box in the Islamic taste, late 19th/ early 20th century, of flat rectangular form, overall decorated with intricate foliate design, animals and birds, raised upon four bracket feet, bears maker`s marks, 14cm wide x 8cm deep; with further white metal and niello shot glasses, a similarly decorated white metal and niello condiment, spoon and pepperette, white metal and niello trays and a silver pedestal dish, (a lot), (approx gross weight 33ozs).
A large and impressive silver twin handled cigar box by Hicklenton & Sydal Ld, London, c.1933, of rectangular form, the hinged cover dedicated to ` G H Valentine Esq OBE/ Assistant Commandant/ City of London Police Reserve/ 1928-1933/ A token from his Brother Officers`, with three internal wood lined sections, raised upon moulded base and four ogee bracket feet supported with spandrels, 10cm high x 28.5 wide x 18cm deep, (loaded).

A black lacquered and chinoiserie decorated bracket clock, gilt metal mounted, the 8-day movement with Westminster and Whittington chimes No. 29507, set an engraved brass dial with putti spandrels and Roman silvered chapter ring, retailed by Hamilton and Inches, Edinburgh, 32 high x 23cm wide.
