An Elizabeth II Four-Piece Silver Tea and Coffee-Service, by Frank Hawker Ltd., Birmingham, 1975, of compressed melon fluted form in the William IV style, on foliate bracket feet, the teapot and coffee-pot with composition insulated handles, the teapot 30cm long, gross weight 77oz 2dwt (4) . All marks well struck and clear to underside, cover also part marked. One or two minor signs of use and very occasional minor bruise, generally good condition.
A William IV Silver Toast-Rack, Maker's Mark Worn, Possibly Reily and Storer, London, 1837, rounded rectangular with seven bars and central loop handle, on four scroll and shell bracket feet, the central handle engraved with a crest, 17cm wide, 9oz 14dwt. Makers mark almost completely erased, remaining marks well-struck and clear. Some spot solder repairs in places to junction of bars and frame.
Rosewood cased bracket clock the white enamel dial signed Holmes & Son, Holborn Hill, with three train fusee movement striking on eight bells and a gong, 56cm x 32cm x 21cm. Case freeze has come away in two places but have the pieces. case has various scratches and loss of colour, glass good order. Dias various losses see image. Silk back panel needs replacing losses in various places. movement appears complete but appear to be some time since it has been running.

Second quarter 19th Century inlaid oak and rosewood-cased eight day painted dial longcase clock, J.Stokes, Birmingham, the 14-inch break-arched dial with convex Roman centre inscribed as above, within spandrels decorated with female figures signifying the Four Continents beneath an arch painted with female figures as Industry, the elaborate case with inlaid swan-neck pediment and sunken hood columns over inlaid horse motif to frieze, triple-arched rosewood-crossbanded short trunk door between sunken columns and geometric crossbanding to the canted base on ogee bracket feet, 234cm high Condition: Hood finials are missing. Crack to hood door glass. Small veneer loss to arch over hood door plus flaws to veneer of left side of hood spandrel, veneer losses to throat moulding, detached section to left ogee bracket foot. Dial has minor flaking to tip of arch otherwise sound. Movement not recently working and requires a clean/overhaul. Sold with two cast iron weights, each numbered 14 plus pendulum and two winders. Late 19th /early 20th Century Indian carved teak wall bracket, finely carved with architectural towers over a pierced rectangular panel of figures with their cattle praying to a god playing the flute, all within finely pierced foliate scroll work, the serpentine bracket with pierced fencing over carved elephants to base, 87cm high Condition: Small losses to central minaret of surmount, otherwise appears in remarkably good condition for such a delicate item - **General condition consistent with age
Mid 18th Century inlaid walnut chest of drawers, the quartered, feather-banded and crossbanded rectangular moulded top over two short and three graduated long conforming drawers with punch-decorated bale handles, on bracket feet, 96.5cm x 49cm x 94cm high Condition: General minor lifting and splitting to veneer to top commensurate with age and use, has probably been French polished many years ago as finish is now rather glossy. Some vertical splitting to side panels and typical minor patching to veneer elsewhere. Otherwise sound - **General condition consistent with age
19th Century giltwood and gesso girandole wall mirror, the plain oval plate beneath urn surmount with swags and foliate scroll work, over shaped bracket support with four scroll branches, 105cm high Condition: Mirror plate is a possible replacement as glass appears thicker and clearer than often found on these early examples. Typical cracking and some flake losses to gesso including losses to bead work surrounding base surmount, flaking to plinth beneath urn, some typical losses and cracking to foliate scroll work, further bead work losses and tight crack to frame etc. a later wooden backing strip to rear supports the structure. Late 19th/early 20th Century French Louis XV-style green-lacquer bracket clock, with bracket, the 6-inch cellular Roman chapter ring and engraved Arabic minutes framing an embossed foliate scroll centre, the two-train movement stamped 4954 55 striking on a bell, the waisted balloon case with cast seated figural surmount modelled as a Chinaman holding a parasol, over painted floral decoration and cast foliate mounts, 58.5cm high, together with a matching bracket, 18cm high (2) Condition: Dial in good condition, movement appears clean and sound but is untested and sold as seen. Case surmount a little loose, minor flake loss to rear door which is slightly darker than rest of body. Bracket has minor grain splitting or widening of corner joint, overall good - **General condition consistent with age
French Gothic Revival gilt metal-mounted carved ivory casket or coffret, the lancet-arched lid panels and side panels all decorated with figural narrative scenes in the 14th Century Medieval taste, with gilt swing handle, strapwork hinges and conforming fleur-de-lys mounts, the base also with conforming mounts, the base with splayed bracket feet having Gothic piercing, 11.5cm x 6.5cm x 5.5cm high Condition: One hinge pin has been replaced and the mount directly below that particular hinge has been broken in two but can easily be repaired - **General condition consistent with age
George III inlaid oak-cased eight-day brass dial longcase clock, 'Donisthorpe' (probably Joseph Donisthorpe of Normanton), the 12-inch break-arched dial having a brass chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a matted centre with circular boss inscribed 'Donisthorpe' over silvered calendar crescent, within scroll spandrels, the arch with Bacchus mask between sea serpents, the case with dentil-carved swan neck pediment, brass discs and ball and spire finial over fluted columns with brass capitals, star-inlaid and crossbanded long trunk door between fluted quadrants on a plain base with wavy apron and integral bracket feet, 222cm high Condition: Dial with light tarnishing to chapter ring and to silvered calendar crescent, minor losses to blacking of numerals, calendar functions when hands are moved. Movement appears sound though maybe of slightly later date. No packing beneath seat board. Case - minor veneer cracking to hood frame, plus a few minor knocks to moulding above base. Slight age warping otherwise sound - **General condition consistent with age
Good quality 19th Century inlaid mahogany linen press, the upper section with swan-neck pediment over satinwood-crossbanded doors, each centred by a large marquetry urn issuing flowers in the manner of Edwards & Roberts, enclosing five oak-lined tray shelves, the lower section of three graduated satinwood-crossbanded drawers with brass oval back plate bale handles on ogee bracket feet, 130cm x 54cm x 222cm high Condition: Light external wear including minor knock to left door and very tight veneer cracking to satinwood crossbanding plus knocks to ogee bracket feet, dark mark to right hand short drawer and a couple of small veneer losses to drawer dividers, otherwise sound - **General condition consistent with age
17th Century and later ebonised bracket or table clock, the unsigned 6-inch square brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours, Arabic minutes and half hour divisions with inner quarter hour and minute tracks framing a matted centre with aperture beneath XII, angel mask spandrels, later wire-driven twin-fusee movement with anchor escapement, the case with pierced gilt metal basket top and acorn finials, 36cm high including handle Condition: Dial - tarnishing to chapter ring. The matted centre has an aperture at 12 instead of 6 so is probably the wrong way up. Movement would have previously been verge and crownwheel, now with late 18th/19th Century twin fusee movement. Case has some rubbing to high points of gilding of basket surmount, patching to one rear corner of top, missing rear door escutcheon and some rubbing to outer rear door edge. Marks to front door beneath escutcheon (which is the wrong way up). General wrinkling and cracking to ebonising, feet are of a later date. Overall a restoration project or for parts, and sold as seen - **General condition consistent with age
19th Century Colonial hardwood cabinet, probably Indo-Portuguese, the rectangular top with stepped ovolu-moulded edge over four banks of six drawers, each with carved rope-twist border and pierced lobed circular back plate ring handle, on bracket feet, 76cm x 42.5cm x 100cm high Condition: Horizontal crack across top around 3 inches from back edge, general light scratching and wear to top commensurate with age and use, some variation in colour of drawer fronts particularly one drawer but no further evidence of replacement, some vertical cracking to side panels. Small loss to tip of left front bracket foot plus a section of rear right bracket foot missing meaning that the cabinet does not currently sit level - **General condition consistent with age
Late 18th/early 19th Century oak chest of drawers of small proportions, the moulded two-piece rectangular top over six graduated long drawers with brass drop handles on bracket feet, 74.5cm x 47.5cm x 76.6cm high Condition: General heavy wear to top including deep scarring and some infill to right hand side. Shallow top drawer is green baize-lined and compartmentalised whereas other drawers are plain. Typical vertical splits to sides otherwise sound - **General condition consistent with age
