Early nineteenth century mahogany longcase clock, the swan neck pediment above an arched painted face depicting a highlander with bow and a hound above a white enamel dial with a thirty one day ring and subsidiary seconds marked for David Dewar, Doune 1882 and flanked by columns with Corinthian capitals over a trunk with spiral quarter pilasters and a door carved with a cockeral and inscribed 'Gloria Patri' on a plain base section with bracket feet, 84in (213.3cm) high
A 19TH CENTURY KOREAN BURR WOOD CABINET ON STAND fitted three pairs of locking panel doors with brass hinges, moulded geometrical design and frieze drawer fronts, on shaped bracket feet, 44" wide and 65" high.(see illustration) Provenance: formerly the property of the late Sir Stafford Cripps.
A Belgian 6 shot 7mm open frame DA PF revolver, with folding knife beneath the barrel, 7" overall, barrel 3¼" with 3" folding knife blade mounted on bracket beneath, Liege proved, with panels of floral decoration to cylinder and frame, folding trigger, plain ebony grips, the metalwork nickel plated overall. Early 19th Century Longcase Clock, with square painted dial, inscribed, "Rea, Walton" and with secondary seconds dial, eight-day movement and contained within an oak case, the hood with dentil cornice, inverted tapered fluted pilasters, the door with rosewood crossbanding and central star inlay in satinwood and ebony, on a an associated base and bracket feet, 219cms, (7’3").
18th and later Century North Wales (probably Denbighshire) oak Dresser, the delft rack with canopied hood and shaped apron above two shelves, the base with a rectangular top with moulded edge above three short drawers, all with panelled fronts and brass swan neck handles and cupboards below, with arched panelled doors and bracket feet, one side branded "DED", 122cms, (48").
18th Century oak Mule Chest, the hinged rectangular top with mahogany crossbanding and moulded edge, above two dummy drawers, and with two short and one long drawer below, all with brass handles and cast escutcheons and with mahogany crossbanding, with plain apron and on bracket feet, 165cms, (5’5").
George III mahogany Bureau in two halves, the upper half with fall front enclosing central glazed door, flanked by compartments with blind fretwork and further pigeonholes and drawers and above one long and two short drawers, the base fitted with three long graduating drawers, all with brass swan neck handles and on bracket feet.
