A FINE LARGE NINETEENTH CENTURY FRENCH BOULLE BRACKET-CLOCK. Movement by H. & L. Paris. Number 3100. With outside count-wheel and brass sun-burst mask pendulum. Circular dial with raised enamel Roman numerals, with brass centre, chased with sun-burst mask issuing vines and flowers. The top surmounted with classical woman, above two dolphin heads and a central scallop shell. Arched glass front panel applied with classical female mask with leaf tiara, issuing scrolling leaves. Two dolphins below flanking a scallop shell, on leaf-cast cabriole legs, with scroll feet. 41" (104cm) high x 16" (41cm) wide. (1)
AN ATTRACTIVE INLAID MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK. Late nineteenth century. With French movement and white enamel dial, with Roman and Arabic numerals. Indistinctly signed. The reeded, domed cover with brass acorn finial, the front case inlaid with leaf sprays. On rectangular moulded plinth with brass feet. 14" (36cm) high x 8.25" (21cm) wide. (1)
A FINE NINETEENTH CENTURY INLAID AND CROSS-BANDED MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE BOOKCASE. Moulded cornice above a satinwood frieze and two astragal glazed doors. Drop-front secretaire drawer, with fitted interior, drawers and pigeon holes around a central cupboard. Two cupboard doors below. All raised on bracket feet. 49" (124cm) wide. (1)
A GEORGIAN STYLE MAHOGANY PEDESTAL WRITING DESK, of inverted breakfront outline. The top with three inset writing panels, above a central frieze drawer to either side. Raised on two pedestals each with four drawers and two cupboards and three drawers to the opposing side. Raised on ogee bracket feet, 71" (180cm) wide. (1)
A FINE PINE CORNER CUPBOARD. Eighteenth century and later. Swan-neck and dentil-moulded cornice, above an arched niche enclosing three shaped shelves. Fluted pilaster to either side headed with carved rosettes. On a conforming base with two cushion panel doors. Raised on bracket feet, 8ft (244cm) high x 44" (113cm) wide. (1)
A pair of Victorian bronze figural twin branch candlesticks. Each formed as a figure in 18th century dress wearing a tricorn hat and carrying two sconces aloft. Raised on square spreading bases decorated in relief with masks and stylized foliage and over bracket feet, 21.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Probably missing finials under the sconces. One base not sitting square on all four feet. Some wear.
Manner of Robert Lorimer, an Arts & Crafts Whytock & Reid mahogany tallboy. Carved in light relief with stylized foliage, with concealed frieze drawer and raised on bracket feet. Stamped mark inside the drawer, 1m 7cm high, 99cm wide, 50.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some water damage to the front.
A George III mahogany bachelors chest with oak lined drawers. Having reeded mouldings, fitted top drawer, cock beading, original brightwork and raised on bracket supports, 84cm wide, 50cm deep, 82cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some sympathetic polishing and medial repair work.
