Also, an Edwardian mahogany Sutherland table raised on pierced end supports with gate leg action. Measures 61cm x 61cm x 18cm. Extended length 78cm.

The wardrobe having twin doors with arched field panels to centre raised over bracket base. Measures 151cm x 106cm x 50cm.

His work in Iraq would involve assisting the US Military to secure Saddam Hussein's palace. These were recovered from Hussein's palace. Additional images now available.

Henry Jones in ye Temple, a late 17th Century ebonised bracket clock the eight-day duration, double-fusee movement with verge escapement, bob pendulum and now striking the hours on a bell with signs of former quarter repeat work, the backplate engraved with floral decoration and maker's name Henry Jones in ye Temple, the six-inch square brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and fleur-de-lys half-hour markings, with a matted centre and cast-silver cherub-head spandrels to the four corners and strike/silent aperture to the top, the ebonised bell-top case with brass carrying handle, finials and escutcheons and standing on bracket feet, height 38cm.With restorations and alterations.Biography Henry Jones, born circa 1631, was apprenticed to the eminent clockmaker Edward East in 1654 becoming a Freeman of the Clockmaker's Company in 1663. He continued to work for East until at least 1672 after which he worked at Inner Temple Lane. Jones died in 1695.
Schwerer, York a mahogany longcase clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with the fourteen-inch painted break-arch dial having black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials, decorative brass hands and signed Schwerer, York, with painted scenes to the four corners and arch depicting various ruins, the mahogany case having a swan-neck pediment with fluted columns to the trunk and hood, the trunk door and panel to the base with carved decoration, all standing on bracket feet, height 232cm.The Schwerer family were known clockmakers working in York in the early-to-mid 19th century with brothers Matthew at 6 & 14 Stonegate circa 1846-1858, Peter at Petergate circa 1827-40 and Phillip at 38 Stonegate and 99 Petergate circa 1834-46.Reference: Brian Loomes Yorkshire Clockmakers pub.
