Reproduction walnut finish bracket clock, gilt chapter-ring, silvered dial, movement by Rapport, Westminster striking movement, 30cm.Condition report:There is a small nick to the left-hand-side, cream-coloured residue above the door on the back and white dirt / corrosion to the screw in the middle of the dial. The clock is running and chiming at present time although no guarantee is given. Please see additional uploaded images.

Victorian mahogany tripod table, rectangular top with canted corners, ringed column, tripod legs, 54cm x 40cm, height 68cm.Condition report:Sound in its current state. Previous repairs to the top of the pedestal and also the base of the pedestal where there is a historic split line. It would appear one leg was completely broken off and repaired with a pin and metal bracket to stabilise. Surace scratching to the top surface.

Georgian oak bureau bookcase, the top with moulded cornice, two panelled doors enclosing shelves, the base with fall front enclosing an interior fitted with a well, above two short and two long drawers, bracket feet, width 84cm, depth 49cm, height 207cm.Condition report:The overall condition is quite poor and needs a good deal of remedial work to restore to former glories. The top section has a large amount of surface splash marks which have probably affected the patina and would require refinishing. Historic repairs throughout, of varying degrees of competence. Back and shelves of the top have historic worm activity. The lock mechanism has been removed so the doors have a tendency to swing open (although a replacement mechanism is found in one of the drawers). The interior of the bureau is very tired, with multiple ink stains and repairs to the reeded outlines, the writing slope has no current leather but pinholes suggest in the past one was present. Replaced hinges are a poor fit. Front left foot is in immediate need of repair as the blocks are loose and other feet may need repair. The drawer linings have split with age.

A George III mahogany eight-day musical automaton table clock, Benjamin Ward, London, the silvered dial in polychrome floral surround above miniature selector dials for MINUET/AIRE/JIG and MARCH and STRIKE/SILENT above a painted automaton scene of figures and swans crossing a river, the movement with verge escapement playing on eight bells, striking on a ninth, the backplate engraved with Ho Ho bird, in breakarched, finely figured case surmounted by a tempietto with brass pillars, finials and pineapples, caryatid and rococo frets, on outset bracket feet, pendulum, 107cm h In good restored, retail condition. The movement is clean, runs smoothly, functions on Stike Silent and chimes. In addition to the strike bell there are eight graduated bells flanked by a total of nineteen hammers (8 plus 11). The repeat board also activates the tune and automaton. Please note in the interests of full disclosure that a staff member of Mellors & Kirk has an interest in this lot being a relative of the original purchaser, now deceased.
