Small ship's clock, with metal stand. Fluted crown. White dial, Arabic numerals, pear-shaped hands.Measurements: 30.1 mm (bracket diameter); 13.6 mm (watch face).This piece belongs to the personal collection of Don Juan José Ontalva (Chinchón, 1930- Madrid, 2019), a famous watchmaker from Madrid, descendant of several family generations dedicated to the world of watches. During his career he achieved a high degree of precision and skill, becoming the master of other watchmakers. He is currently recognised for numerous works, including the commissioning and restoration of the Billeter astronomical clock, located in the Congreso de los Diputados (Congress of Deputies).

A George III figured mahogany chest on chest with Sheraton style shell and floral marquetry inlay, the upper section with moulded and Greek Key frieze, with twin doors enclosing sliding trays, 2 long and 2 short drawers to the base with oval brass drop handles on ogee bracket feet width 130cm x height 217cm ****Generally ok. It appears to have been restored / repolished at some time. Cornice loose - appears to have lost retaining blocks

The gong striking movement by Garrard in three-glass case with brass-mounted handle and finials, brass dial with roman numerals (33cm high)Condition ReportSurface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wooden case. Some splits and areas of loss to the veneer on the sides. Split to door near top hinge, front two finials are detached but present. Accretions and polish residue. Hands move when wound but it appears the striking movement is not working. Unable to say whether in full working order. Some fading and discolouration. Some scratches, accretions and tarnishing to dial. General wear and tear.

Drawers and doors functional. Grazes, rubbing to inner edges of kneehole. Joints tight, solid and the whole is sound, sturdy and perfectly usable.
