An early George III faded mahogany chest, the top having a moulded edge above a brushing slide and four long graduated drawers, replacement pierced brass batwing escutcheons, raised on straight bracket feet, w.84cm, d.52cm, h.78cmThe top is heavily marked. Upper left swan neck missing. Replacement handle to brushing slide. Replacement handles. Drawer fronts very scratched. Lowest drawer front has lost its corners. Left foot a possible replacement. A replacement section of timber below the slide. This is an excellent quality chest that has had a hard life.
