A George III oak and inlaid longcase clock by Henry Wade London, with two train striking movement, the case with long arched trunk door flanked by fluted quarter column corners with brass capitals and all raised on bracket feet. Height including finial 224 cm, width across hood base 45 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The clock winds on both trains and is currently ticking away and striking in the saleroom. The movement and dial have clearly been fairly recently restored and are in extremely good order. The case is in extremely good condition also with no issues of any note.
A George III mahogany and walnut bureau, chevron banded, the slope front with tooled leather writing surface and with fitted interior above four long graduated drawers with brass drop handles and cockbeading to each drawer front and raised on bracket feet. Height 107 cm, width 92 cm, depth 49 cm (see illustration).
An 18th century walnut bureau, well figured, the slope front opening to a fitted interior and with four graduated drawers with brass drop handles and moulded drawer fronts and all raised on bracket feet. Height 101 cm, width 78 cm, depth 50 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bureau is in generally good condition. It has clearly been repolished, probably 20 years ago or so. The top is in generally good condition with some minor veneer repairs. The flap has slight stress fractures to these veneers particularly on the left-hand side of the burr section. The flap is flat and not warped. The lock appears to be original. We have the key. The hinges if not original are clearly old. The interior is in good order with no significant issues. There are the usual surface marks and stains and ink marks as one would expect. The drawer fronts are in generally good condition. The handles and lock escutcheons are later. They do to a large extent go through the original handle holes however. The top three drawers have locks. We have no keys. The bottom drawer lock is missing. The left-hand side has a stress fracture to the carcass. The right-hand side has a similar stress fracture but this is more prominent, the gap being +/- 1 mm. This corresponds with a plank join. The bracket feet are in generally good order all round. The backboards are original
A 19th century boulle marquetry clock bracket, with applied metal mounts. Height +/- 32 cm, width 53 cm, depth 22 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bracket is in generally good condition with no major problems. The black painted top has numerous scuffs and scratches and four carved indentations presumably to hold the feet of a clock. The Boulle marquetry to the front is principally intact with only very minor lifting and no losses of any significance. The left-hand side is also in generally good order with minor lifting of the brass and very small losses to the tortoiseshell. There are some old repairs. The right-hand side is in similar condition. There are some areas which are lifting slightly more than the left-hand side but again no significant losses.
A 19th century mahogany chest of drawers with a rectangular top above three short drawers over three long graduated drawers, raised on square bracket feet. 118 cm wide, 121 cm high, 54 cm deep. CONDITION REPORT: The chest of drawers is structurally sound and in generally good condition. The top is flat with no warping and no splits. The edge moulding is in good condition all round. The sides are well figured and in good order again with no splits. All drawers run smoothly and are in generally good condition. The first long drawer has some minor damage to the right-hand corner of the cockbeading. All handles are original. The bracket feet are in good condition all round with only minor scratches and marks as one would expect.
An 18th century mahogany and crossbanded longcase clock, with 30 hour movement by Jonas Barber of Winster, single pointer, the case with long arched trunk door flanked by quarter column corners and all raised on bracket feet. Height 197 cm, width 52.5 cm at cornice, width at trunk 31 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement is complete with weight and pendulum and is currently ticking away in the saleroom. The case is in generally very good condition with no issues. The case is a very good colour. The doors are not warped. It is an attractive clock.
An Edwardian Elliott mahogany cased triple fusee bracket clock, striking on eight bells and five gongs and with silvered brass dial. Height 68 cm, width 44 cm, depth 32 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on all three trains. We have the pendulum. The clock does tick for a short period but then stops. The movement seems to strike as it should when advanced manually. The face is reasonably clean although the silvering around all dials is rubbed. The bevelled glass door when viewed from the front is in good condition. There are however two small chips around the retaining nails when viewed from the inside. The mahogany case is in generally good order but could do with a polish. All metalwork is tarnished and dirty. The block beneath the centre pineapple is a different colour. Perhaps the case originally had a handle. The side grilles are dirty but in good structural order. The gilding to the feet is largely gone. We do have the key. The grille to the rear door is buckled but is present.

A Victorian walnut enclosed Canterbury, with fretwork panels and of shaped outline raised on short castors. Height 52.5 cm, width 52 cm, depth 40 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The Canterbury is structurally sound and in generally good order. The top closes as it should and is not warped. There are some minor stress fractures and very small losses to the veneers and the top and the middle join is slightly loose. The interior is in generally good condition. The fretwork to both sides is all present. The white spot you can see in the image is a veneer loss. The fabric behind the fretwork is beginning to perish on both sides. The ends are in good condition as are the bracket feet and the original castors. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
A pair of Venetian glass and brass cylindrical wall lanterns, with pennant surmounts. Height 62 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The image online shows two separate brackets.
