18th century eight day longcase clock with brass arched dial, signed - Jonathan Tolputt, Portsmouth Common, with subsidiary strike / silent in arch, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, rococo scroll spandrels, in dome-top mahogany case with Greek key pediment, reeded columns and pilasters, on bracket feet, 196cm (pendulum and weights present)
18th century eight day longcase clock with silvered arched dial, signed - William Vesper Limehouse, with strike / silent in arch, subsidiary seconds and date dials, in a fine mahogany case, with reeded columns and pilasters, on bracket feet, 240cm high (key, pendulum and weights present) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good, movement is clean but we are unable to confirm if it is in full working order. Seat board possibly a replacement. Case side cheeks have been cut at some time and there is a packing piece on right. Left hand equivalent is missing, movement leans forward. Silvered dial is scratched and marked in places, name is William Vesper not Pespur. Case generally good, door and plinth veneers are cracked, some of column brass inlay is missing. Hood is in good condition, some minor repairs to veneers, three finials missing, weights are cast iron and not brass cased. Pendulum is large and has a flat brass rod

A large flat-section gilt-bronze discoid harness pendant with suspension bracket (one lug absent); gilt heraldic design within a notched border, enamelled image of winged angels supporting a heater shield with coronet above, frond below. 52 grams, 80mm (3 1/4"). Property of a European gentleman living in the UK; formerly in a private collection formed in the 1990s. Very fine condition. Rare.
18th-19th century AD. A south Indian roof bracket from a haveli mansion or temple in the form of a large arching Makara sea monster with lines of beading down the body, collar with twist pattern and scrolling open plant above; from the plant neck of Makara curving round to collar with bead decoration, mouth open with rows of teeth and ends of mouth bending round to form plants; to the top of the head an open lotus flower with bird looking back; rows of flowers down the side of the bracket with large open flower to the base. 7.15 kg, 87cm (34 1/4"). Property of a Canadian lady; acquired 1970s-1990s. [No Reserve] Fine condition.

Private collection, London, UK; acquired prior to 1990. Fine condition.

12th century AD. A gilt-bronze rotating mount comprising an arched fish extending its mouth to grip its own tail above a D-section neck and beast-head finial gripping a pierced lug; the fish's body pierced behind the gills to accept a rivet securing a looped bracket to the reverse; hatched detailing and texturing to the fish, neck and beast's head.
