A 19th Century oak bureau, the plain top over a sloping fall enclosing a basic fitted interior over four long graduated drawers with brass swan neck handles, raised on bracket feet, 84 cm wide x 104 cm highCondition Report: Has cleary had restoration in the past and has replacement sections particually to the bottom left of the fall, repaired crack along the grain to the center, back boards not orginal. Repair to the area around the second lock, repair the to left hand side bottom corner of the bottom drawer. General knocks and scratches condusive to age and use. The interior in poor condition. A burr walnut and crossbanded chest in the 18th Century manner, the feather and crossbanded top with applied moulded edge, over two short and three long graduated drawers with brass swan neck handles, raised on bracket feet, 96 cm wide x 93 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst this chest has some age and very much the look of an 18th Century piece we suspect that it is 19th Century in construction as the veneers are very thin throughout. There is wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout with scratching, varnish rubbed, staining, veneers lifting and cracking pretty much all over. See further images for details.

A George III mahogany and rosewood crossbanded chest on chest , the top section with cavetto moulded cornice above an arrangement of three short over two long graduated drawers, the base with brushing slide surmounting three long graduated drawers, raised on shaped bracket feet, 172.5 x 103 x 56cms.
A George III longcase clock, inscribed Robert Lough, Penrith , the arched brass dial, with Roman numeral hours and Arabic minutes and date dial surmounted with a moon phase to the arch, fitted with an 8-day movement striking a bell, contained within an arched hood with swan-neck pediment and brass finial above a glazed door flanked by turned columns, above a mahogany trunk with shaped panel door and raised on a panelled box base with shaped ogee bracket feet. 245cms high.
David Hubert, London: an ebonised bracket/table clock , mid18th Century with later alteration, the brass dial with silvered roman chapter, date aperture and vacant false bob aperture, surrounded by pierced and engraved leaf scroll spandrels, original verge escapement later converted to anchor escapement, the ornate backplate also signed with engraved leaf, fruit and bird decoration, the case with caddy top, brass handle and finials, pierced scale side panels, raised on brass ogee bracket feet, 30 x 20 x 46cms high.
Isaac Duhamel: a mid 18th Century bracket clock, the brass dial with silvered roman chapter ring, date aperture to centre, seconds dial to arch engraved with makers name, strike/ silent lever below, fitted striking twin fusee movement now converted to an anchor escapement, engraved backplate, the ebonised case with fretwork panels, brass carrying handle on dome top, 26 x 17 x 44cms high. Notes: Isaac Duhamel was listed amongst those Protestant exiles who moved to Britain during the reign of Louis XIV. The style shows more of an English influence to his later work from his earlier French designs.
Masson, Paris: a French Boulle marquetry bracket clock , the 22cms decorative circular dial with white enamel shaped numeral cartouches and blue roman numerals, fitted with an 18th Century eight-day two-train movement striking on a gong, circular tapered pillars, the backplate signed 'Masson Paris' , the large solid count-wheel is numbered (1-12), with silk suspended pendulum (cycloidal cheeks), the 19th Century ornate Boulle work case with detachable scroll decorated top surmounted by a figure of Old Father Time flanked by finials, arched glazed door below with pierced foliate apron with interior panel decorated with two female figures of Flora and Urania flanking a globe with enamelled nameplate 'Masson Paris', canted sides surmounted by cherubs and decorated with foliate designs continuing down to caryatid supports, shaped glazed panel sides, raised on decorative incurved platform with square section acanthus feet, the whole raised on a Boulle work bombé-shaped stand on gilt paw feet, 210.5cms high (some damage).
Samuel Marti: a French late 19th Century mahogany and gilt bronze bracket clock, enamelled arabic dial, eight-day, two train, hour and half hour striking movement with gong, the case with caddy top decorated with swag design, detailed floral decoration and fretwork to front and sides, plinth base with vacant cartouche, 44cms high.
Isaac Cockeram Downham: a Georgian black lacquer longcase clock , the brass dial with roman hours and arabic minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with a representation of death to the arch and ornate gilt spandrels, the eight-day movement with anchor escapement striking a bell, the black lacquered case with projecting cornice and three-quarter pilasters, the shaped waist door with chinoiserie decoration and raised on a box base with shaped apron and bracket feet, 218.5cms
John Turnbull, Hawick: a mahogany longcase clock , the brass roman dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, decorated with ornate gilt spandrels, fitted eight-day movement with anchor escapement and striking a bell, the mahogany case with swan neck pediment, gilt metal mounts and finial above an arched and glazed door, flanked by fluted columns above shaped waist door and fluted quadrants, raised on a box base with shaped bracket feet, 199.5cms high.
William Terry, Bedale: a later carved oak longcase clock, the arched brass dial with roman hours and arabic seconds, the date aperture and ornate giltmetal spandrels with moon phase to arch, fitted an eight-day movement with anchor escapement striking a bell, the case with swan neck pediment and brass finial above an arched glazed door, flanked by two fluted columns above an oak case profusely carved with Tudor roses and geometric patterns, raised on a foliate carved box base with shaped bracket feet, 226cms.
