An antique 19th century pair of brass hanging chandeliers, in the 17th Century Dutch manner. Each wall sconce hanging bracket with its own four-branch candelabra chandelier. Each arm decorated in a scrolling manner, with bulbous central globes. Unusual antique wall mounted candelabra chandeliers. Chandelier sections measures approx; 30cm tall.
A good late 18th / early 19th century English country oak dresser base being raised on bracket feet having a central bank of 4 drawers flanked by end cupboards with arched fielded panel doors. The flared edge top with canted corners. Brass swing handles to the drawers, the top drawer with central oval brass key escutcheon plate. H75xW161xD49cm.
A late 19th century German mahogany bracket clock with arched top, the brass mask with cast spandrels, the silvered dial signed Coventry Leaver Co. and with regulator dial and chime/silent facility, with Winterholder & Hofmeier movement. Height 37cm.Condition report: The clock has a key and its pendulum, it winds as it should and was seen to run, it strikes the hours and quarters but it is erratic. The case is a little scruffy and lacks finials but has some nice features such as the stop fluted pillars.
A George III mahogany linen press, with a pair of panelled doors, the lower part with two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, height 204cm, width 125cm.Condition report: The hinges have been replaced and moved, previous hinge areas restored. Crack to right hand side of linen press. Linen press drawers removed and a clothes rail installed. Crack on both sides of drawer section. Losses to cock beading on drawers. General wear throughout. dating: late 18th Century provenance: Turkey, Two-stage, octagonal and round, 15.5 mm cal. barrels in quality damask. Tang of the barrels silver-inlaid and engraved with floral motifs. Flintlocks decorated in European style, with plates with oblique borders, recessed tang, engraved to imitate the signature in block letters, small engraved drawings. Cocks shaped as swan's neck. Pans with sealing system and batteries with anti-friction spring. In working order. Briar-root, full stocks (one with restored block next to the lock), partially covered with silver foils, engraved and pierced. Grips all covered with a long, silver mount on the back, engraved and pierced with flowers. Various silver plaques alongside, engraved and pierced en suite, so as the counter-plates. Silver mounts. Trigger-guards with rocaille in relief, butt-plates carved with rocaille so as the trigger-guards and with a rosette and button finely relieved on the bottom. Silver barrel bracket and muzzle ring. Iron-tipped wooden ramrods, one also with cartridge extractor. Rare in such a high quality. length 54 cm.
