A George III mahogany cased caddy top bracket clock, with silvered 15cm dial and eight-day striking movement, with signed backplate, 38cm high/see illustration/Provenance: Plas Gwyn, Anglesey Condition Report: Condition generally poor. Case is missing the right hand return and one leg. Top unglued. Grilles with loose material. Dial tarnished. Movement is missing the pendulum and the drums are loose. Backplate signed J. Moreland, Chester.
A figured walnut bureau of Queen Anne design inlaid herring bone borders, fitted beneath a fall flap and with three long drawers below, raised on bracket feet, 81cm wide Condition Report: There is lifting and veneer blistering to top and fall, both sides are split top to bottom, back complete but taped to keep panels in place, old carcass but completely re-veneered.
A Regency figured walnut quarter-strike ting-tang bracket clock, the rectangular case with stepped top and with pierced grilles to sides, fitted a circular white enamel dial signed Des Grange Late Recordon London, fitted a twin fusee movement striking on two bells, 28cm high/see illustration Condition Report: The strike is not working. The movement has recently been restored and it sits well within the case. There are no signs that the movement and case are a marriage. Hour hand loose. Enamel dial chipped around winding apertures and with small scratches. Condition overall good with some minor scratching consistent with age and use.The depth from front to back is 13cm, the width 19cm There is a strike silent aperture above 12, there is no lever. The strike movement is all there.
A Regency mahogany cased eight-day bracket clock, inlaid brass banding and acanthus scrolls, fitted a circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed Mummery, Dover, fitted a twin fusee movement striking on a bell, 51cm high/Note: Baillie records Mummery, Dover, early 19th Century/see illustration Condition Report: Dial enamel in fair condition but name and town rubbed and only just legible. Brass finial to top loose. Brass inlay lifting but generally in good condition. Movement recently restored.
A late 18th Century oak cased eight-day longcase clock by Watkin Owen, Llanrwst, the case with blind fret frieze and two columns to the hood, the trunk with fluted canted columns, enclosed by a shaped rectangular door on bracket feet, fitted a 33cm square brass dial with pierced brass spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed Watkin Owen, Llanrwst, 221cm high/Note: Baillie records Watkin Owen, Llanrwst 1761 - 1809 Condition Report: Not currently in working order. Condition poor but believed all original. Second hand missing, date wheel present but has slipped below aperture. Chapter ring tarnished. Case with splits, holes and restorations. Half of pediment missing.
Brass striking lantern clock, 6" dial with Roman numerals, engraved dial centre bearing inscription "William Gray, London", the case with a central turned finial, side opening doors, on turned brass feet, two train movement with verge escapement and counter wheel, striking on a top mounted bell, together with a carved wood wall bracket, height 40cm.
An early 19th Century inlaid mahogany longcase clock With a 36cm arched dial signed Barraclough Thornton with subsidiary seconds and date dials, the arch painted with a pastoral landscape with shepherd and shepherdess, the single train 30 hour movement with outside countwheel striking on a saucer bell, the case with a swan neck cresting above turned wood columns, the trunk with a short inlaid door flanked by fluted quarter columns raised upon an inlaid plinth base and shaped bracket feet. 240cms.
