Koos is listed as working in Merthyr Tydfil in the early part of the 19th century

An 18th century bracket clock, the associated arched case with turned finials and ring handles to the sides, on a rectangular plinth base, the movement with 17cm. square brass dial, the silvered chapter ring signed 'Simon Thorne, Tiverton', with mock pendulum aperture and date aperture, the fusee movement with verge escapement and bob pendulum, having pull repeat striking on two bells, the engraved backplate signed 'Simon Thorne, Tiverton', 46cm. high, with bracket.
