An early 18th century walnut veneer, inlaid and cross and feather banded bureau, bordered with boxwood, ebony and chequer feather strung lines, the sloping hinged fall decorated with an oval shell medallion, enclosing an oak and inlaid shaped and fitted interior with pigeon holes and small drawers about a central enclosed cupboard, containing an arrangement of two short and three long drawers below, on ogee bracket feet, 97.5cm (3ft 2½in) wide.
A George III mahogany and inlaid linen press, crossbanded and bordered with boxwood and ebony lines, the upper part with a moulded cornice and wide dentil pattern frieze veneered in oak and satinwood, fitted with sliding trays enclosed by a pair of doors decorated with oval lines, the lower part containing two short and two long drawers, having a shaped apron base, on splayed bracket feet, 124cm (4ft 1 1/2in) wide.
A George III mahogany bureau cabinet, the upper part with a moulded cornice, fitted with adjustable shelves and pigeon holes and three small drawers below, enclosed by a pair of mirror panel doors in moulded surrounds, the lower part having a sloping hinged fall enclosing a graduated fitted interior with small drawers and pigeon holes, containing two short and three long drawers below, on bracket feet, 112cm (3ft 8in) wide.
An early 19th century mahogany secretaire bookcase, the two glazed doors with reeded pointed arch astragals, the deep drawer outlined with beaded mouldings and enclosing drawers and pigeon holes, three graduated drawers below and on slender bracket feet, 213cm (7ft) high x 109cm (3ft 7in) wide, top and base associated.
Walnut longcased clock, brass broken arch face, 30.5cm, roman chapter ring, calendar ring in the arch, matt field with seconds ring, date aperture and ringed holes, signed Alex Warfield, London , two-train, four-pillar movement, anchor escapement, hour rack strike, in flat top hood with fretted sides and integral columns, on cavetto shoulders, D-moulded doors, set-out plinth and ogee bracket feet. Height 223cm. (Two weights, pendulum)
Oak longcased clock banded in mahogany, broken arch brass face, 30cm, silvered roman chapter ring and roundel, engraved field with seconds dial, date aperture and engraved oval signed J. Birchall, Nantwich, two-train, four-pillar movement, internal countwheel striking the hour, anchor escapement, in a swan neck hood with fluted columns on cavetto shoulders, shaped door, quarter column, on canted plinth and ogee bracket feet. Height 211cm (pendulum, key and two weights).
Oak and mahogany longcased clock , broken arch painted face with maritime rolling moon, roman dial, subsidiary seconds, date aperture, indistincly signed Bristol, two-train, four-pillar movement, anchor escapement, internal countwheel striking the hour, Wilson false plate, in a swan neck hood with fluted columns, on cavetto shoulders, fluted quarter columns, canted plinth and bracket feet. Height 226cm (key, two weights, pendulum).
A Chinese pale celadon jade brush pot, probably 18th Century, the mounts later, the tubular body very finely carved with five cranes dispersed within a landscape of rocks and breaking waves, a pine tree rising into the undulating clouds, each auspicious bird pecking at the pine or carrying in its bill a peach or Lingzhi fungus, the rim and bracket cut foot probably later, height approx 16cm.
A pair of Fischer two handled pottery vases, early 20th Century, each bulbous body beneath a trumpet shaped neck flanked by bracket angular handles, decorated overall with polychrome gilt enriched scrolling foliage, blue printed mark to bases 'Fischer J. Budapest' with impressed marks and numerals '794', height approx 32.5cm (fault to one rim).
A Queen Anne walnut and marquetry secretaire chest, the upper section fitted frieze drawer over two doors enclosing further drawers, cupboards and secret compartments, the base with pull out baize lined writing slide over two small and two long drawers, on bracket feet, 42" wide (illustrated and detail back cover)
