Needs re-polishing otherwise condition is ok. Handles are later.

A JAPANESE NAGASAKI STYLE LACQUER CUTLERY BOX EDO PERIOD, C.1800 Formed as an urn with a rising cover revealing tiered compartments for knives, decorated to the exterior with vertical panels in mother of pearl and gold, depicting ho-ho birds, urns and flower sprays, the square plinth raised on four bracket feet, 76cm. Provenance: from a deceased estate, Hampshire. Cf. O Impey and C Jörg, Japanese Export Lacquer 1580-1850, pp.326-328 n.637, for a closely related knife urn at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, acquired by Captain Samuel Gardner Derby in 1801. Gardner Derby was Captain of the Margaret of Salem and traded in Nagasaki under charter from the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie), the Dutch East India Company.
A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE MOULDED BOWL YONGZHENG 1723-35 The U-shaped body moulded as a flowerhead, painted with petal-shaped panels enclosing beauties and gentlemen, the figures divided by diaper, with a floral motif to the well, all raised on five bracket feet, the base with a paper label for John Sparks Ltd, 20.1cm. Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, purchased from John Sparks Ltd on 26th April 1982. A French 19th or early 20th Century brass eight bracket clock, with a painted dial and Arabic numerals, the dial depicting a hunting meet, striking on a gong, the back door opening to reveal mechanism, inscribed '4.8', the top fitted with a carved pediment, turned columns to sides, measuring 32cm high, dial measiring 11.5cm diameter
A George III ebonised and brass mounted eight day bracket clock signed by on the dial and backplate Ellicott London for John Ellicott, circa 1780, the case with stepped dome top mounted with carrying handle, the sides and back with quarter frets with brass lined front door, on bracket base with brass feet, the 7 in. dial with scroll and foliate spandrels, engraved and silvered chapter ring signed Ellicott/ London with date square to the hammered centre, subsidiary dial for strike/silent above, with door key Movement: Twin fusee movement striking on a bell. Movement has been converted from verge to anchor escapement. Pull repeat striking the hours. Extra holes on the backplate. Condition: Pendulum not of good quality and part of conversion to anchor escapement.Case has some damage consistent with a knock. The dial mask wood is split, the front door does not open well as it binds on the case. Beading to rear door missing but present and will need attaching. Rear door hinges are replacements Rear of the dial inscribed 1826 mark made by repairer. Both door keys present and winding key.

Extra holes in the backplate no pendulum.Case has old restoration the side frets are replacements, which do not match the frets in the corners of the front and back doors.NOTE: William Tomlinson (1699 - 1750) Quaker. He was an extremely good clock maker several good examples, working in London. Born in Lancashire
