A Mid 19th Century inlaid mahogany and rosewood crossbanded longcase clock With a 35cm brass arched dial signed in the arch John Fisher, Preston with subsidiary seconds dial, the centre engraved with leaves, mask and leafy spandrels, the lunar calendar with a figure walking along a pathway, the two train eight day movement with anchor escapement, rack striking on a bell, the case with a swan neck cresting, applied brass ornament, baluster columns, the trunk with a shaped inlaid door flanked by baluster columns raised upon a plinth base inlaid with rosewood crossbanding, shaped apron and bracket feet, with two weights pendulum and a key, approx. 234cms. An elegant Edwardian walnut bookcase The foliate carved scrolling pediment above two bevelled glazed panel doors, the base section having two burr wood panelled frieze drawers applied with cast brass drop handles and back plates, with two corresponding fielded panel cupboard doors beneath, raised on splayed bracket feet, width approx 100cm, height approx 198cm. CONDITION REPORT: Stain below key escutcheon of cupboard, no evidence of woodworm, few scratches and knocks but seems to be in good condition.
