Some beadwork from gilt gesso frame missing, some knocks and minor damage to frame. No labels or stencils to back of painting. Overall good.
J Padilla, a still life of fruit and game, oil on canvas, signed, 70 x 98 cm Condition report Report by GH We would estimate the age to be late 20th century. A small amount of flaking paintwork, and a very small amount of paint loss, on a grape, and on the edge of a peach, and also towards the tip of one of the hare's ears.

Kate Wylie (Scottish, 1877-1941) Still life of Anemones signed lower right "Kate Wylie" oil on canvas 44 x 34cm (17 x 13in) Kate Wylie was a flower painter and her work is in the Glasgow Museums. Born in Skelmorlie, Ayrshire, she painted in oil and watercolour portraits, flower studies and landscapes, and is now best known for her flowers. Kate Wylie trained at Glasgow School of Art and often painted on the Isle of Arran where she had a cottage at Blackwater Foot. In 1942 a memorial exhibition of her work, and that of Janet Aitken and Elma Story, was held at Glasgow Society of Lady Artists. A little dirty - modern frame needs replacing.
Chatin Sarachi (Albanian, 1899-1974) Still life of a bowl of fruit signed and inscribed lower left "To Walter and Diana from Chatin" and signed "Sarachi" and with "CS" stamp watercolour, in a blue painted frame 27 x 37cm (11 x 14in) A little discolouration and crinkling of paper under the glass.
Chatin Sarachi (Albanian, 1899-1974) Still life of lemons and apples in a terracotta bowl signed lower right and inscribed "To John from Chatin" watercolour 25 x 40cm (10 x 16in) Chatin Sarachi (in Albanian Paskal "Çatin" Saraçi) was an Albanian painter and politician In 1939 Sarachi met the great expressionist artist Oskar Kokoschka. Kokoschka became a close friend and admirer of Sarachi as well as a constant influence on his work. They shared a Kensington studio in Stratford Road, not far from the Pride Gallery, and worked together, creating many drawings and paintings of each other. The last exhibition of his work was held at the Pride Gallery in London in 1988. Today, the work of Chatin is considered to be closely connected to Expressionism although his knowledge and appreciation included influences of Japanese and Chinese painters. Under glass and paper is quite crinkled.
