Dame Ethel Walker (1861-1951) Still life with flowers in a vase oil on canvas, inscribed in pencil on stretcher Dame Ethel Walker of RH Bay, 51 x 61cm (20 x 24 in). *** The inscription on the verso of this work refers to the Robin Hood`s Bay group of artists, of which Dame Ethel Walker was a founder member in 1925. Condition report: Would benefit from a light clean and restretching.

He got to know Picasso, Miró, Calder and Sartre during his long career in Europe and later emigrated to the United States.
