1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III Fixedhead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:40755By 1970, the Jaguar E-Type was ten years old and needed a new lease of life. History repeated itself and it was a huge success when Jaguar debuted its robust V12 engine in a sports car instead of the saloon for which it was designed. Despite its sports-car heritage, Jaguar depended on saloon vehicles for its survival and had developed the 12-cylinder engine to power them with sufficient torque and refinement. Larger and softer in nature with weight redistributed 53/47, the Series III had lost the wilds of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile to which it was arguably better suited. Robert Bell in Motor magazine was quoted saying at the time that all we expected to try was a new engine, but what in fact we drove was a new car. Not a yowling, aggressive Ferrari-like machine with which, perhaps, most people associate a V12 engine, but a very smooth, quiet and refined grand touring sports car.The example we have here really ticks all of the boxes, it is a home market, right hand drive example, supplied with a Heritage Certificate confirming it still wears its original colours, has always been fitted with the all-important manual gearbox and is matching numbers. The car is an extremely early Series III car, with the heritage certificate showing a build date of December 8th 1970.  The car underwent some comprehensive restoration work in the 1990's, which was slowly carried out between 1990 and 1998, with the car covering around 5,000 miles in-between. Some replacement panels were fitted during the work, which were all correctly lead loaded, the glass was all removed and the car was painted in two-pack paint, which has held-up exceedingly well and retains an excellent shine. The interior was also retrimmed at the time and was clearly finished to a particularly high standard because it could easily pass as a job which was carried out in very recent years. A vast amount of work was carried out to the suspension, braking and steering systems at the time, a new wiring loom in the engine bay and various other electrical jobs were attended to. A re-shimmed flywheel, a new clutch, new downpipes and a stainless steel exhaust system were also fitted, then the car was treated to Dinitrol rust protection upon completion. In short, almost no stone was left un-turned and the car still looks excellent today. In more recent years, the car has had new carpets, roof lining, air filters and alternator belts, various new hoses under the bonnet, exhaust and inlet manifold gaskets, new high torque starter motor and many other small items attended to.The car is supplied with a comprehensive history file, with 30 MoT test certificates dating back to 1976, by which point the car had covered 3,984 miles, showing a steady increase in mileage over the years and giving a huge amount of confidence that the indicated 40,000 miles would be accurate. The history file contains an original handbook, original workshop manual, original E-Type parts catalogue and many old tax discs and invoices. This is an excellent example of the increasingly popular Series III FHC E-Type, not overly restored to the point it cannot be enjoyed and presented in a particularly attractive colour combination. 2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1 by Pininfarina Transmission: paddleMileage:37600The lineage of Ferrari's most elegant 599 model, launched back in 2006, is practically regal if you trace its basic design to the 1960s and a heritage of beautifully-penned, front-engined, GT cars such as the legendary 250 SWB and its sister car, the Lusso. Fast dramatic machines with impossibly long bonnets followed chronologically then by the 275GTB Daytona and, more recently, the 550 and 575M. Such theatre, such art.It is little surprise then that the owners of these dynamic and vital examples approach their custodianship with a passion that is often overwhelming but always worthwhile and vital towards to the history of the marque. This car is presented in 'as-new' condition kept, as it is, in de-humidified car storage as part of an important private collection. Supplied by the factory in metallic black paintwork, professionally paint corrected with professional detailers and never driven in the rain.Back in 2022, it was the subject of a minor incident resulting in some quarter panel damage. The car was returned to Ferrari where full repairs took place and, needless to say, this was recorded with HPI as a matter of course although since then, all repairs have been double-checked by Autolign, professional detail assessors, and signed off as original and correct.Fully serviced by Ferrari throughout its entire life with its most recent service undertaken through Ferrari's new Power15 warranty, a new extended package which applies to vehicles between the expiration of the new vehicle limited warranty and fifteen years from the original date of sale, this took place in July of 2023 and included four new P-Zero tyres fitted to 20€ OEM Monolithic alloy wheels and new Scuderia shields as well as a brand-new Ferrari radiator costing in excess of £8,000. There are seven months left to run on the MoT test certificate. Braking comes through giallo fly carbon/ceramic brakes and, in fact, it's worth noting that this example has only ever been touched by Ferrari main agents since birth. The interior includes tan carbon Daytona sports leather seats with the extended carbon/leather pack with carbon steering wheel, LED rev. counter display, a leather headliner and back parcel shelf with straps as well as original Ferrari Becker radio/Satnav. All books are included, the keys are still in their leather pouch, the jack remains unopened and the tools are still new and safely ensconced in their leather pouch. Even the air-pump and charger still remain in place. Take your place in the driver's seat of one of Ferrari's rare front-engined, V12s amongst Maranello's other great designs, one of very few to ever to roll out from under that fabled red archway. 23/10/09  STRATSTONE FERRARI5,13129/10/10  GRAYPAUL FERRARI11,02425/7/12  LANCASTER FERRARI16,5088/3/13  JOE MACARI FERRARI17,98325/3/14  STRATSTONE FERRARI19,37017/5/16  LANCASTER FERRARI27,4007/7/17  GRAYPAUL FERRARI29,16521/8/18  GRAYPAUL FERRARI29,86521/9/20  DICK LOVETT FERRARI30,50331/8/21  DICK LOVETT FERRARI35,84025/7/23HR OWEN HATFIELD37,405Recently professionally detailed including ceramic coat protection system as detailed on YouTube by Birklean Detailing.Consigned by EJ Bridger-Stille

1989 Audi Quattro Turbo Transmission: manualMileage:82393The Audi Quattro is one of the most significant cars of the post-war era. The initial plan was to build just 400 for motorsport homologation, but due to strong demand the Quattro went into full production and the first left hand drive versions were available in the UK in the Spring of 1981, with right hand drive following in the Autumn of 1982. The first cars are easily identifiable by their twin headlamps, six-inch Ronal wheels (seven-inch Fuchs as options) and black boot spoilers. The engine was a turbo charged version of the fuel injected 2144cc five-cylinder engine which originally produced 200bhp and a massive 210 lb of torque. This phenomenal power would take the car to 60mph in 6.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 140 mph. The four-wheel drive transmission's ability to provide traction in all conditions meant that the car rewrote the rule book in terms of road holding and acceleration. The example we have here is a 2,226cc 'MB' engine example, which our vendor has owned for 24 years and has clearly been very well cared for throughout its life. The car went through a thorough recommissioning process following a stint of around 11 years in storage between 2011 and 2022. The work undertaken included a cambelt change, full service, clutch master cylinder, boot struts and various other small jobs. The fuel pressure regulator was also refurbished around the same time. The car presents in excellent condition throughout, the paint retains a great shine and the interior shows no sign of excessive wear and is commensurate with the low mileage the car has covered. The only modification we are aware of is a stainless steel exhaust, which is quite a common change as the original parts have become harder and harder to source. The exhaust still offers a subtle tone but lets the five-cylinder engine, which these cars are so famous for, sing.  This Quattro is supplied with an excellent service history, showing 12 stamps in the service book up to 2002 at 78,000 miles, with a further six service invoices since then. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find well-cared for Quattro Turbo's without 'moon mileage' and this example certainly ticks all the boxes. Supplied with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate and an excellent history going right back to day one. Consignor Fraser Smith

1981 Land Rover Series III 109 Transmission: manualMileage:350Land Rovers were inspired by the US-built Willys Jeep immediately after the war. By 1992, Land Rover claimed that 70% of all the vehicles they had ever built were still in use. Before the war, Rover had produced luxury cars which then ceased to be in demand in the post-war period. Raw materials were also strictly rationed to companies building construction or industrial equipment. Rover's original factory in Coventry had also been bombed, forcing the company to move into a huge factory it had built in Solihull to construct aircraft. The Series III is the most common vehicle with 440,000 built. The headlights were moved to the wings and the traditional metal grille featured on its predecessor, was replaced with a plastic one. The production run for the Series III was from 1971 through to 1985, and during this cycle in 1976, the 1,000,000th Land Rover rolled off the production line. The Series III saw many changes in the later part of its life as Land Rover updated the design to meet increased competition. This Land Rover was originally registered on 25th February 1981 and has been totally and beautifully restored by the knowledgeable and fastidious vendor. The body was removed from the chassis and a new galvanised chassis fitted. The bodywork itself was repaired where necessary and repainted in the traditional colour combination of Sherwood Green with black. The engine was stripped down and rebuilt as was the gearbox. Wolf wheels have been fitted and the interior trim taken care of accordingly. This 109 inch Land Rover has four inward facing seats to the rear and a suitable 'rag-top' for inclement weather. Series III Land Rovers are exceptionally robust and offer the ultimate 4x4 off road experience. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 11th June 2024 and a collection of invoices in the history folder. This model was only in production for three years and to find one in such fabulous condition is a rare treat indeed.Guide price £23,000-£28,000

2012 Mini Cooper S Inspired by Goodwood Transmission: automaticMileage:36000The MINI Cooper S Inspired by Goodwood is a little known modern classic which amazed the automotive world when it was revealed in 2012. In a bid to create an ultra-luxurious version of the already excellent R56 generation MINI Cooper S, it was decided that MINI would utilise their relationship with Rolls-Royce (both companies being owned by BMW) and enlist the help of the design division at their Goodwood factory. The result was a MINI that featured a cashmere headlining, Rolls-Royce Connolly leather interior, Rolls-Royce exclusive burr walnut veneers and a piano black finish on the steering wheel and climate control buttons, along with a cost price when new in 2012 of £41,000! Just 1,000 cars were built, with only 119 cars built for the UK market. The exterior is finished in Rolls-Royce Diamond Black Metallic and the usual Cooper S bonnet scoop is non-existent. In all, the whole idea is very reminiscent of the Raford or Wood & Pickett Mini's of the 1960's and 1970's.The example we have here has been in the careful ownership of our vendor since January 2013, when the car had just 1,092 miles. It now presents in good order throughout, having covered less than 36,000 miles from new. The deep pile woollen floor mats were stored away to retain their condition, meaning they still present in excellent order. The car has been serviced eight times by MINI main dealerships, with the most recent service in August 2023 being carried out by an independent garage, local to our vendors home. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate, valid until September 2024. An ideal city car for those who like the finer things in life, or maybe one to tuck away as a future collector's piece, one thing which is for sure, is you are highly unlikely to bump into another Inspired by Goodwood edition MINI on the road. Offered to auction without reserve, this MINI is sure to generate some interest.Guide price: £15,000-£20,000

Lot 201

1955 Land Rover Series I (86€) Transmission: manualMileage:3780Originally registered in 1955 to the Halesowen Engineering Company who converted vehicles for military contracts, it then began life as a Column Commander's vehicle for the British Army whose job it was to lay communications cables across strategic territories. It eventually left the MoD before being restored in 2018. It was stripped and rebuilt whilst still being careful to preserve some of its original patina. The exterior has been rebuilt from the ground-up including sandblasting and then rebuilding where necessary. The chassis and bulkhead have been repainted and is now completely free of corrosion. The original body panels have been retained where possible to ensure it presents without an over-restored appearance. The paint is good all round and the bumpers and trim are in excellent order with refurbished wheels and new tyres. Under the bonnet is the earlier rebuilt 2.0 litre engine. A file of history and paperwork including a British Motor Heritage certificate confirming the production and delivery date is contained within the file, as are invoices from a well-known Series I specialist documenting many of the specific parts that were required for its restoration and a selection of photographs of the Land Rover 'as found' and during its restoration. 1971 Triumph TR6 CP Transmission: manualMileage:33249The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years, starting in 1969, and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel-injection. It featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total, 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.This is an exceptional example of a UK supplied TR6 CP, extensively restored and tastefully upgraded. These early CP models are highly desired due to their higher power and freer revving engines than the later examples, which were gradually du-tuned and given lower compression ratios to cope with more demanding emissions regulations. The car looks superb in its metallic grey colour, paired with an attractive dark burgundy leather interior. The steering has been upgraded to hydraulic power steering, an expensive upgrade which vastly improves the useability of the car but retains excellent steering feel, far better than can be expected from electronic power steering. The restoration was mostly carried out during 2012 by TR Bitz and the overall appearance of the car still resembles that of a car which has been very recently restored. Our vendor has used this TR6 for a number of European road trips; to Le Mans, Italy, Germany etc performing well at all. A long range aluminium fuel tank was fitted during the restoration and the engine was fully rebuilt to stage two specification and a high torque start motor was fitted along with a Kenlowe fan and many other quality of life upgrades. The car was also fully re-wired by TR Bitz during the restoration, they supplied and fitted a full wiring loom. The seats have been upgraded to Mazda MX5 Mk. II seats, a rather popular upgrade for TR's, as they offer much better comfort and support than the original items. More recently, the car was fully serviced, had a new power steering pump fitted, new fuel pump and had new springs and isolators fitted, in October 2022. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate and a comprehensive history file with bills totalling more than £25,000. Consignor Fraser Smith

2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 Transmission: manualMileage:54566At start of the 1990s, after the introduction of their two-seat, grand-tourer R129 SL and the Mazda MX-5, Mercedes-Benz set out to create a new compact roadster, slotted below the SL. By late 1991, under Bruno Sacco, the first design sketches were drawn up and scale models were built in the first half of 1992. Massively successful in its first year, worldwide sales hit 55,000, over double the entire nine-year production of 190 SLs and between 1996 and 2004, over 311,000 SLKs were sold. The roof design consists of a folding steel hardtop with both halves linked by a mechanism which is locked securely when the roof is closed. At the touch of a button on the centre console, a hydraulic system controls the fully automatic folding process in which the boot lid is also integrated.First registered on the 8th May 2003, this wonderful Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 unusually boasts a rare manual gearbox and even has parking sensors. Furthermore, the car has only covered 54,566 miles in its 20 year life. Presented in the attractive Magma red paintwork, it boasts nine service stamps in its accompanying official Mercedes-Benz service booklet, with the last being carried out only a couple of months ago. All the original booklets are supplied with the car along with the service booklet contained in their original booklet case. Reported to run and drive very well and still used regularly, this wonderful little car is only for sale due to a lack of space and is ready for its next owner to enjoy.Supplied with a V5C registration document, a MoT test certificate valid through July 2024, receipts and original stamped service book and handbook. A fun future classic in a rare specification makes this little Mercedes a car to be snapped up. Consigned by Will Penrose.Guide Price: £3,000-£5,000

The car started life as a limited edition Mini 40 but has since been 'backdated' with a clubman front end and painted in Ferrari Verde Silverstone. It is understood that more than £60,000 was spent on the build of the car, with the brief being 'to beat everything on track days but still have the comfort to drive to the South of France'. Power comes from a KAD built 1480cc, 16v, twin-cam engine with a whopping 180bhp, which is plenty in a mini! A Piper 4-2-1 stainless manifold with Playmini stainless exhaust system is fitted, giving an incredible exhaust note. The car is fitted with a KAD five-speed straight cut dogleg gearbox, Quaife ATB limited slip differential, KAD alloy flywheel and KAD quick shifter. Stopping power comes from KAD four-pot calipers up front with 7.9€ vented and grooved discs and a KAD rear disc conversion with KAD adjustable bias pedal box. As if a Mini didn't handle well enough already, the car has been fitted with AVO full adjustable suspension, KAD alloy swing arms, camber arms, alloy front hubs, KAD front and rear anti roll bars and electronic power steering with a Quaife quick steering rack. KAD 6x10€ magnesium wheels have been fitted with Yokohama Advan 032R tyres, perfect for road/track use. The interior really is the best of both worlds, trimmed in sumptuous black leather with a full roll cage (also painted in Ferrari Verde Silverstone), Pioneer speaker system with Bluetooth, AVIC F220 navigation system and a full length electronic sunroof. This is an outstanding mini built with huge attention to detail and was truly a no expense spared build. Offered to auction with a comprehensive history file, V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until September 2024. Whether you're a Mini enthusiast or not, this car is quite hard not to love and is offered at a fraction of its original build cost having covered just over 1,000 miles since completion.
