Skulpturenfragment, römisch, 2. - 3. Jhdt. Ecke einer Nische mit einem lebensgroßen, leicht gewendeten Kopf. Das Gesicht mittig und rechts stark beschädigt. Auf dem Kopf noch eine flache Kopfbedeckung, darunter fallen Haare in kleinen Strähnen auf die linke Stirn. Die erhaltenen Teile lassen eine einst meisterliche Ausführung erkennen. Kalkstein. Maße 56 x 26 x 22 cm. Höhe des Kopfes mit Hals 27 cm. Provenienz: Aus schwäbischer Privatsammlung.Zustand: IIIA Roman sculptural fragment, 2nd - 3rd century Corner of a niche with a life-size, slightly turned head. The face is badly damaged in the centre and on the right. A flat headdress is still visible on the head, underneath it hair falls in small strands on the left forehead. The preserved parts indicate a once masterly execution. Limestone. Dimensions 56 x 26 x 22 cm. Height of the head with neck 27 cm. Provenance: From a private collection in Suebia.Condition: III
