Mary Fedden (British 1915-2012), "Still Life, Fruits on a Shelf, Landscape Beyond", signed and dated "Fedden 1990, oil on canvas, Castlegate House Cockermouth Gallery label applied to stretcher verso. 41 cm x 51 cm (see illustration). ARR CONDITION REPORT: The painting appears to be in generally good condition. It is framed but not glazed there is therefore some surface dust. If you look carefully at our image and particularly on the right hand single apple you will see faint stressing to the paint surface a little like the marks that appear on leather cushions. There are one or two other small areas with this same stressing. The rear of the canvas is a little dirty but there are no repairs, no holes and no restoration. The original pine frame has minor nicks and marks but no significant issues.
Percy Kelly (British 1918-1993), "Still Life of Flowers in Vase", signed, watercolour and pencil, Castlegate House Gallery label verso. 57 cm x 40 cm (see illustration). ARR CONDITION REPORT: This painting is in very good order. We cannot see any condition issues. It is framed and glazed and the frame is in good condition. We have no other provenance
A Regency mahogany bedside cabinet, with carrying handle to either side, bowed door being crossbanded and raised on turned tapered legs. Width 41 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is an 11 cm split to the extreme left hand side of the door panel starting at the top and running down. There is a veneer split running the full length of the panel on the right hand side. On the carcass next to the handle there is a semicircular mark that may have been produced by a larger handle at some point in its life. There is a width length fine split to the top running through the middle. There is a small 1 cm diameter x 1.2 cm diameter chunk missing on the exterior of the left hand side handle. The top has old partial ring stains. There is a width length split to the centre of the left hand side. The rear left hand leg has been broken and reattached, there is a 18.5 cm long replacement of wood. The backboard has six pierced holes, a full length split and a 16 cm split. The right hand side panel has a full length split. Having said all that the splits are age splits and this is still a functional piece of furniture.

A fancy link bracelet mounted with six intaglio seals, each oval link stamped '9 .375' to indicate 9ct gold, and joined by looped x links; the largest seal with cushion shaped amethyst-coloured intaglio depicting a growing rose with butterfly and the legend 'Thy sweetness is my life'; another with bi-coloured foliate mount and similar intaglio carved 'Tho absent still to memory dear'; the smallest with a shield-shaped rock crystal intaglio carved with Pliny's doves and 'L'Amitié'; another with a hooped mount and agate carved with an initial and a scallop shell; another of hexagonal form set with four turquoise pastes and plain white agate 'seal'; the last a bottle green tapered hexagonal paste, carved with a heraldic shield, and small collar mount; length of bracelet 19cm, gross weight 42.45g
§ James Noble (British, 1919-1989) A Still-life of a yellow rose and Japanese anemones; and a Still-life of a red rose and Japanese anemones both signed lower left "James Noble" oil on canvas, in pierced and gilded frames (a pair) 24.50 x 19.50cm (10 x 8in) Both paintings are on canvas which are unlined with a supplier's stamp for the Roberson company. There are minor undulations to the canvas but overall the paintings and frames are in a good condition. The varnish is clear, glossy and even.

A RARE ALBUM OF THIRTEEN [OF SIXTEEN] SILK HANDKERCHIEFS DESIGNED BY GEORGE SHERINGHAM FOR SEFTON FABRICS, C1918 stitched pictorial limp card wrappers with pochoir title, 31 x 34cm The striking bold 'modern' designs of this rare group of handkerchiefs follow an advertisement of May 1918 in which the Belfast manufacturer Sefton Fabrics announced that it had invited well-known artists, including 'Miss Fish' to design textiles. Walter Sefton had married, in March 1918 the designer (and creator of 'Eve') Anne Harriet Fish who, at 28 was some 17 years his junior. Her own design for a fan inspired by the Russian ballet Scheherazade was illustrated in The Tatler, 1 January 1919.
