The surface has been somewhat flattened and abraded by the restoration process. Several areas of thin paint, likely owing to the restoration. Areas where the weave and creases of the relined canvas are visible. Slight frame rubbing to edges. There are several patches of medium sized stable craquelure. Two small circular losses of paint to middle of right hand edge (see image), each no more than 0.5cm across. Under UV the work is covered in a thick varnish which rather occludes evidence of restoration. That said, there are several patches of infilling to old craquelure throughout the surface. There are some notable patches of retouching along the lower edge and sporadically elsewhere including a patch of the pineapple. a patch to the left of the goldfish bowl and the odd more subtle patch in the sky.
