Document GroupsDocument group of the Motor-HJ Kameradschaftsführer and tank gunner Fritz Roth of the 3./Pz.A. 160.1.) 3 photos in tank uniform; 2.) Motor-HJ exam badge, booklet with HJ-uniform photo; 3.) 3 documents for the Wehrmachts-training of the HJ; 4.) performance card for getting the K.-Schein of the HJ; 5.) promotion document to Kameradschaftsführer; 6.) drivers license (with tank uniform photo, only for fully-tracked vehicles up to 15to.); 7.) wounded badge, 1939, in black (document, folded, issued Schieratz, the 12. März 1943 for his wound recieved on 10.1.1943, sealed, OU Oberstabsarzt u. Chefarzt); 8.) license of heavy war invalids.Interesting estade which clearly shows how the youth was trained to become soldiers. Rare Motor-HJ documents and also the drivers license of some curiosity, as Roth was allowed to drive fully tracked vehicles, though no regular car. After he entered the army he came to the newly set up Panzer-Abteilung 160 and was present with it at the battles around Charkow. After that the unit was transfered to Stalingrad, where Roth got wounded on 10.1.1943 and because of that got flown out of the besieged city. This most likly saved his life, as the unit was totally wiped out still in January. After he left the hospital he most likly left the army, as he held a license for heavy war invalids.Condition: II
1971 BSA B50SS Bike Year: 1971 Bike Make: BSA Bike Model: B50SS Bike Reg No.: BPB 62K Bike Frame No.: B50SS/KG01073 Bike Engine No.: B50SS/KG01073 Bike Colour: Purple / Black Born at the end of the `Great British Motorcycle Industry` era, and maybe a bit before it`s time, the B50SS Gold Star was perhaps a precursor of a different era, yet to get into it`s stride. The B50 Street Scrambler was little different to it`s cousin the B50 T Victor, (a daylight off roader, more field than street) but both maybe gave the Japanese a few pointers where big macho knobbly bikes were concerned and set a style still popular today. Bearing the revered Goldie title a little heavily, very much to the chagrin and alienation of many BSA aficionados, BSA was clutching at any straw to make the products attractive, the B50 came with many of the usual shortcomings of a stretched and underdeveloped engine. Like most of it`s forebears this engine could trace ancestry right back to the Triumph Terrier via Cub, C15, B15, B40 etcetera, and multitudinous problems could await the proud owner, particularly if said proud owner was a bit of a novice or at best an unsympathetic rider. Unsympathetic that is to a machine subject to oil leaks, short big end life and a tendency to destroy itself, if you could stand the escalating vibration long enough and still be in the saddle when it did. But we still love these old things anyway, and today all of the above can be considered sorted if modern materials and modifications, developed by a number of specialists from 40 odd years of experience and hindsight, are utilised. This 1971 B50SS from the first year of manufacture looks to be an original and genuine example having all the right bits, not mint but in very usable order. In the doldrums for a long period this model is now becoming increasingly sought after and should provide the adventurous rider with endless entertainment for a relatively modest outlay. 1984 Peugeot 205 T16 Car Year: 1984 Car Manufacturer: Peugeot Car Model: 205 T16 Car Reg No.: C308CYX Car Chassis No.: VF3741R76E5 Car Colour: Black Peugeot Talbot Sport`s uber dramatic-looking 205 T16s were by far the most successful of the Group B rally cars, fighting off strong competition from Audi, Lancia and Ford to win the World Rally Championship in 1985 and 1986. To gain the appropriate homologation the company had first to build 200 road-going versions - a job that was entrusted to Heuliez. The overall shape of the T16 (turbocharged, 16 valve) was similar to that of a normal 205, but there the resemblance ended! The monocoque construction was abandoned in favour of lightweight tubing and the engine was moved amidships. In rally spec. the turbocharged 1.8-litre unit pumped out a scary 450bhp, so was sensibly tamed down to 200bhp for the road versions. However, when combined with an all up weight of just 1,145 kilos, this was still sufficient to achieve a supercar-humbling 0-60mph time of 6 seconds and a terminal speed of 130mph. The pocket rocket sported far wider wheel arches than a standard 205 and the whole rear of the car raised in one section for engine access. This was one mean machine! The T16 offered is one of those 200 homologation specials. Finished in Black complemented by a Grey cloth / leather interior and tinted windows it certainly looks the part. The records show it has probably lived something of a charmed life too - having been first registered in the UK during January 1986 to a Sheik who would later become a prominent member of the Qatar government. He apparently retained the Peugeot until July 2007 when it was acquired by the vendor. `C308 CYX` comes with full service history and appears to have covered just 8,045 kilometres from new (circa 5,019 miles). Professionally stored, this rare and exciting reminder of rallying`s golden era is accompanied by the aforementioned service history and an MOT into March 2013. Bidloo (Govard). Anatomia humani corporis, centum & quinque tabulis... , 1st edition, Amsterdam; Widow of Joannes van Someren, Heirs of Joannes van Dyk, Henry and Widow of Theodore Boon, 1685, additional engraved title (somewhat soiled with marginal splits and losses to outer corners not affecting plate impression), relaid, engraved printer`s device to title, old ownership names of John Corrie(?), Geor. Bell (both struck through) and Jno. Carter to upper right corner, outer and lower margins partly strengthened to verso, following leaf (dedication) a little chipped along foremargin, engraved portrait of Bidloo by Abraham Bloteling after Gerarde de Lairesse, 105 numbered engraved plates (numbers 1-3 bound at rear), plate twenty-three partly folding (dust soiled and split at upper margin, small tear with loss and repair to verso of inner margin fold), library stamps to engraved title and all plates, some spotting, dust soiling and marginal browning throughout, occasional marginal splits and repairs not affecting text, contemporary calf, worn, large folio (600 x 355mm) One of the finest anatomical atlases of the Baroque period. The 105 plates were drawn by the painter Gerard de Lairesse, under whose influence the French style of Poussin and Lorraine became dominant in Holland... His illustrations brought the qualities of Dutch still-life painting into anatomical illustration, and gave a new, darker spiritual expression to the significance of the art of dissection` (Norman 231); Ayres 667, Choulant-Frank, pp. 251-252; G-M 385; Trevazzi 1238; Wellcome II, p. 165. Cowper (William). The Anatomy of Humane Bodies, with Figures Drawn After the Life by some of the Best Masters in Europe... Illustrated with Large Explications, Containing Many New Anatomical Discoveries, and Chirurgical Observations: To which is Added an Introduction Explaining the Animal Oeconomy, with a Copious Index, Revised and Pulish`d by C. B. Albinus, Professor of Medicine, Anatomy, Surgery and Practice, in the University of Utrecht, 2nd edition, Leiden, 1737, engraved additional title, 114 engraved plates, most after Gerard de Lairesse, woodcut initials and tail pieces, plate 10 with repaired tear, scattered light spotting, hinges reinforced, contemporary panelled calf, joints cracking, rubbed, folio. Lairesse originally drew illustrations for 105 of the plates used in Govard Bidloo`s Anatomia Humani Corporis (1685 - see lot 45) and represent a complete departure from Vesalius`s idealistic style. English surgeon William Cowper (c. 1666-1709) acquired three hundred of the unused plates (Bidloo`s edition sold poorly) and issued them with his superior new English text plus nine extra plates by Michael van der Gucht in his Anatomy of the Humane Bodies in 1698, with no mention of Bidloo or Lairesse. This led to claims of plagiarism from Bidloo and a series of pamphlets published in each anatomist`s defence. Lairesse displayed his figures in an emotional, almost tender manner, contrasting the raw dissected parts with the full, soft surfaces of uncut flesh, placing flayed, bound figures in ordinary nightclothes or bedding, setting ordinary household objects such as books, jars or cabinets in the same scene as cut-up torsos or limbs, and in one plate showing a fly crawling on an opened abdomen. His illustrations brought the qualities of Dutch still-life painting into anatomical illustration, and gave a new darker spiritual expression to the act of dissection.` (Norman 231). Waller 2192. (1)
