A collection of glass negatives by still life photographer Raymond Fortt from the archive of Raymond Fortt photographic studios taken between 1950 - 1970, come from a collection of very large glass plate negatives (17cm x 22cm and larger), most in their original kodak boxes. These negatives feature pictures of late 19th Century and early 20th Century furniture, fine art paintings, clocks, statues etc that come from antiques dealers Biggs of Maidenhead. These images were used in catalogues and adverts in magazines along with other information regarding Raymond Fortt.

Thomas Koether (New York, Florida, Europe, Australia, b. 1940) Abstract Painting. Titled: "Messenger and the Sentinel" Dated: '83 - 05 Oil on Paper laid on Canvas. Signed verso. In 1960, Koether was accepted to the school of the Art Institute of Chicago at age 20. In 1963 Koether Moved to New York City and started going to the Art Student's League. In June of 1966 he graduated with honors from N.Y.U. and was accepted to the N.Y.U. graduate school of Communications Arts in Cinematography under Haig Manoogian. In 1970, he moved to Paris to take a studio space at the American Center on Boulevard Raspail. In July of '71 Koether went to Italy and did a lot of drawing and watercolors. In Florence he met Italian art restorers and learned a lot about restoration from them. That same year, he participated in a group show at the American Center and sold several pieces, one to director Henry Pillsbury. The work from Ibiza and Paris dealt with attempts to delineate abstraction as a form with his own experience of his own abstractness, landscapes and still-lives of his own psychic and emotional space. This work has a post-psychedelic aspect. In 1974, Koether moved back to New York and worked in N.Y.C. as an art restorer with Roger Ricco Associates. That year, he had a one man show at Ajanta Gallery on East 9th Street. In 1976, Koether moved to Australia and established an art conservation business and worked on the 5 major collections of Oceanic art in Australia. Note: Catriona Campbell has been awarded the GSA Somerville Shanks Prize for Portraiture, the Society of Scottish Woman Artists Founder’s Prize, the Anne Redpath Award and Morton Fraser Award. Catriona exhibits widely and has been a regular exhibitor at the Royal Scottish Academy, The Royal Glasgow Institute, The Society of Scottish Artists and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. * PETER GRAHAM ROI (SCOTTISH b 1959), HONFLEUR, FRANCE oil on canvas, signed 60cm x 65cm Framed. Note: Peter Graham was born in Glasgow in 1959. He attended the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1980. In 2000 Peter was elected to Full Membership of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, R.O.I. Peter has earned a reputation as one of Britain’s most gifted and distinctive Modern Colourists. His work is often related to the Modern Scottish School but Peter has a flamboyant style which is unique, – detailed brush work combined with loose fluid strokes creating vibrant contrasts of pure colour, line and tone. In the winter months within his studio he delves deeply into the still life genre, creating some of his most stunning compositions, always with colour the dominant theme but reflecting the heightened sense of atmosphere and passion that comes directly from painting in the beauty of the Mediterranean. Recently, hugely successful exhibitions in London have allowed Peter to take on extra studio space and his work is being enthusiastically exhibited by many of the UK's most prestigious galleries.

* JOHN BELLANY CBE RA HRSA (SCOTTISH 1942 - 2013), GARDEN FLOWERS oil on canvas, signed 120cm x 90cm Framed. Note: After Bellany's 1988 life-saving liver transplant, his room at Addenbrooke's Hospital became full of flowers and plants sent by family, friends and loved ones. Bellany had escaped death and these flowers symbolized and celebrated ''life''. Bellany convalesced at Little Eversden, Cambridgeshire where he began a series of still life paintings, a subject which he'd never focused on before. This fine composition is a celebration of life, of family and of colour. Private Ayrshire collection.
